The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Hmm okay, is this at a stock power limit? at 10% my gap widens a bit more. VRAM on mine sits around 86c.

It was with a 10% power limit. Your vram is better cooled than mine for sure and that is more important I reckon.
I retested at stock for 15 minutes and it got gpu =57C, Gpu Hotspot=84C and VRAM=92C. The card will attempted to keep within that range by increasing the fan speed.

The Hellhound has a smaller cooler so it could have higher delta temps. You need to check out reviews and see what they got.

Question for you about optiscalor, is it set and forget after initially enabling FSR4 override, or does FSR4 need reapplied every game launch?

You just put the files in the game folder, setup the optiscaler bat file, start the game, enable FSR4 by pressing insert and that's it

Sharing my scores incase it helps anyone get a bit of a benchmark. Super excited for the upgrade, happy I was able to get one!

Few posts on reddit about this being a good generic setting, not dialed it in/really tested it yet.

On the timespy bench specifically the two graphics tests I was wondering would the cpu paired with a 9070xt cause the gpu clock to fluctuate?

Just looking at the two above the gpu clock speed is relatively stable whereas mine seems to fluctuate like in the demo run so I was thinking maybe the cpu could be holding the gpu back.

Potentially, yes, due to a CPU bottleneck. The GPU usage will drop from 100% in a CPU bottleneck situation and as the GPU isn't working as hard as it potentially can the core clock will drop.

However if your GPU is showing 100% usage it is likely that the fluctuations are caused by hitting the power limit or temp limits.
