The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Will be waiting to see if waterblocks are available. There is one for the Taichi but it has the connector I don't like. Wasn't expecting it today - checked emails at 9am and then nothing only for it to arrive at 11am.

I’ve got a nitro 9070 on order. It was a bit silly as it’s one of the most expensive 9070’s out there but for some reason the 9070 really appealed to me on an efficiency level and I really wanted a Nitro for the aesthetics and the low noise. I’m looking forward to playing with it and overclocking a bit.

Nitro on pre order, can’t wait to join the red corner. I have been with Nvidia for so long. I think my last AMD card was a 5870
My last long term AMD GPU was the 7970, a Windforce one, at time got it too replace my 570 so I could run more mods on Skyrim lol

I briefly had a 7900XTX and XT tho

Got my RX 9070 Reaper today (not XT)

Did some 3DMark overclocking, I will update if I improve further later.
2nd place on 3dmark results browser at the moment, 1st place has 13989, pretty impressive.
Best RX 9070 XT at the moment has 16097 for comparison, 15% over the 9070.

There are a couple of things you can try. First is an under volt. To give the card less power. Until mine turns up I cannot be specific. You can also try limiting the max clock speed. The other thing is to try to maximise the venting on your case. A fan extracting air from the top rear of your case will do wonders. Last thing change the fan curve.
What are the thermals like? I got mine for MSRP (not shipped yet) but I'm a bit worried about the performance given the spartan design.
Thermals are good and its not like the fans are so loud you cant hear anything, issue is the pitch of the fans the moment they start spinning, so unless you stop them from spinning at all there is no solution for me. Has an almost coil whine esque hiss/buzz to the sound, rather than the whoosh of the larger cpu fan. Worst issue is that watching youtube is enough to get the fans spinning up every few minutes. Case fan might be helpful there but this is really annoying after spending almost £600.
