The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

My last long term AMD GPU was the 7970, a Windforce one, at time got it too replace my 570 so I could run more mods on Skyrim lol

I briefly had a 7900XTX and XT tho
Snap! My last AMD GPU was also the 7970... and I also bought that to replace the GTX 570, which was another great card. Both excellent experiences.
My 7970 was an Asus Matrix Platinum (got it for a good price).

No its 20-30% slower at VKD3D (DX12 games) meanwhile AMD is faster on Linux compared to Windows, depending on the game can be like 20% difference but usually couple %, so works out pretty even
I'm on windows 11,I never used linux.
If you take into account better RT performance, more DLSS games support compare to FSR4.
I paid for mine gigabyte 9070xt OC close to 720£,so it wasn't cheap.

Yeap DLSS support is for sure better, its one of reasons I've argued that AMD should have went .DLL based with FSR2 rather than FSR3.1, if they had way more games would be FSR4 compatible, RT perf. is better but out of 71 games I currently have installed about 6-7 of them have RT, and only 3 I'd argue is the RT worth it in (Cyberpunk, Control and Metro Exodus EE)

I'm not sure why price matters though for this discussion?

But I guess to add, I've never once said it was a good move, I'm trying out the card for 1 specific reason that appeals too me

Just installed my Nitro. Not really had much chance to play but all temps seem good on the AMD software stress test. Had to download Sapphires Trixx software to be able to move control of the led bar from the card to the motherboard.

Lovely, this would have looked so nice in my case as I run an inverted setup so the bar would have been on top

Looks awesome. I'm leaning towards the Nitro too. How are you finding fan noise? Any coil whine?
