The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

with a tidy undervolt and memory OC the non-xt scores surprisingly close to the XT and at a lot fewer watts, it's a pretty tidy deal that will pay dividends in summer.
I'm not sad about getting a 9070. I think it will be a solid card and I would have undervolted and/or downclocked the XT anyway to around 220-250watts so in everyday use it matters little which I got. I'm just a bit miffed about how the launch was handled by the local retailer and the overcharging. Imagen paying 740 british pounds for an 9070 XT 1 week after the 7900 XTX has been for sale in the very same store for 730 pounds. And that wasn't even the most expensive 9070 XT i refered to.

Don’t congrat me, I paid £680 from a competitor. :( you just reminded me how much I over paid…

I justified paying £110 over ‘MSRP’ cos I’ve been without a card for 4 months now, failed to secure a 5080 and now a msrp 9070xt. In the end, I just decided to take the L.
You don't need to justify it to anyone but yourself - myself, I'd buy that card at £630 in a heartbeat so you haven't overpaid all that much IMO.

Hope you don't get too downcast and enjoy the card!

I currently have a Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT in my possesion but I'm not sure if I'm going to be keeping it (long story, well not that long).

People seem to be sticking FSR4 into DLSS games via Optiscaler with some success. Might be worth a shot.
Yeah I've had it working in a couple, wierdly enough Horizon ZD Remaster actually shows it as FSR4 in the menu even with driver toggle off

have to admit at first i was a little disappointed in missing out on a reaper xt, in the end i bought the straight 9070 -- i run small form factor so much like you the 300+w output was a bit of a concern on the xt, so the base card is perhaps the better choice, and if i can clock it to xt performance with less draw it's a good end result for £540 -- i was looking to move to 7900 gre or 4070 ti super at a similar cost prior to this release so it's worked out ok.

£680 is fine ended up paying £650 for my Hellhound it was £50 over my imaginary budget but do not regret it
I got a Red Devil and not fussed paying the extra. I run a sff case and the 48c the card runs at saves me having to think about the extra fans I was going to buy. Plus I was going to spend 1.2k on a 5080 originally so I’m still 500 better off which will go towards a new 3d printer instead.

-130mv was unstable.

Copied your setups, plus a couple more, as I have the same card. My CPU is holding back the overall score but the GPU scores are pretty much the same. I didn't test any higher than what you had.

All Timespy below, no extreme.

Upping the clock speed hardly makes a difference. Upping the VRAM, lowering mV and upping the power limit is definitely where this card gets the performance from.

I have spotted an issue, in Marvel Rivals, FSR4, occasionally the card frequency drops to 1400 or so for about 15-20 seconds then it comes right back to full speed after.
Not sure if it's related to OC, FSR4, Rivals, etc. yet. If anyone else notices similar please let me know, i will try to get to the bottom of it when i have some time.

Was out all day today, and DPD ignored my delivery instructions and stuck it on my doorstop all day:

Cheers driver.

Ah well, no-one stole it 6 hours later so I thankfully have the Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT in my possession now :)

if it makes you feel any better I paid £899 for a 5070 Ti

In theory no reason for stock to go up according to AMD

HARDWARE UNBOXED
We'll attach here AMD's official statement so we'll see how that goes over time

“It is inaccurate that $549/$599 MSRP is launch-only pricing. We expect cards to be available from multiple vendors at $549/$599 (excluding region specific tariffs and/or taxes) based on the work we have done with our AIB partners, and more are coming. At the same time, the AIBs have different premium configurations at higher price points and those will also continue.”

@will13 You mentioned you were planning to use your 9070 under Linux earlier in the thread, how are you finding it? I'm presuming you are using Arch rather than jumping through hoops on a Ubuntu based distro?
