The Radeon VII Owners Thread

My Radeon vii came this morning, but jump from my 450gts.

All my games have gone from low to ultra high settings.

Just A bit of advice needed.

Currently in the process of upgrading everything so have 2 monitors that are VGA connections. The HDMI to vga connection works fine on one monitor, but the display port to vga connection on the other monitor is intermittent, picture come on fine but keeps flicking off or not coming on at all.

I think it could be a problem with the display port adapter or the vga cable, any thoughts?

Just smashed my way into 4th place on 3dmark firestrike ultra with this water block on now, @2200 / 1250 @1150mv
The graphics score is 3rd highest from them all. This card is a beast
Nice numbers! Let's see what mine is up to tomorrow.
Just got the block! Let me ask you something, did you keep the cross bracket?

Yes. I almost didn't until I watched an installation video, then I panicked and put it on.
We should compare overclocking and scores as I'm getting 2230mhz on the core for my shoes but if I put the ram above 1270 the screen goes black,, interested to see what happens for others.

I'm having a hard time here to put the bracket back. I thought in replace the original screws with the bykski on, but I got only 3 left, so that should be like this.

Sure! Let's compare some data. Tomorrow it's arriving a new pump and I didn't intent to put the card in the system now, otherwise I'll need to bleed it again tomorrow.

Perhaps I'll do tonight, let's see how it goes!

And for god's sake, whata kinda of manual is the one that comes with the block?

Oh, almost forgot. When you place the back plate back, two screws will become dumb as well? The two tops one each side

Yeah two holes can't be used on the back plate
What is wrong with the x bracket for you? I don't quite understand .. You have 3 left of what

I'm sorry, thinking in one thing and writing another leads me to mistakes. I sorted the bracket out, it's fine. I thought I'd need to change the original screws of the bracket for the ones supplied with the block as they were very difficult to put back.

Look forward to your completion glad its all sorted

All set done and very unorganized. Tomorrow I'll sort this out.
Well, it's funny. Temps are great, running FS max JT was 68C in all 5 runs. There's also a overclocked 1800X on the loop.

Ran 1950/1100mV, same score than stock. Ran 2000/1150mV same score than stock again. I don't understand what would be the reason, and I don't have time tonight to look into it. With air cooling was not even possible to finish a test with 1950/1150mV.

It should definately not be the same score. Do you have chill, or some kind of v sync enabled?

Well my VII arrived at the tail end of last week. I currently have my PC in bits :p

Spent a couple of days playing with it just making sure it's working fine using the stock cooler before taking it apart. Loving it so far, can't wait to see what it's like under water!

The left hand port on the CPU block lines up nicely with the right hand port of the GPU block so I can get away with a single 90 degree bend straight from CPU to GPU... but the left port on the CPU block has to be the inlet which means completely re-designing my loop to flow the opposite direction so that the flow goes up from the GPU to the CPU where previously it was flowing down. Two extra holes drilled in my case, completely changing the order of the loop and the case is completely empty. The joys of water cooling!

Currently waiting for a replacement Dr. Drop as ironically I dropped it.

That looks so different in design of the flow around the core, will be interesting to see your temps with this water block. very nice:) when are you fitting it?
Fancy watching a pair of kids lol. Might get around to it this evening. I'll be glad to be back up and running as I was half way through Strange Brigade when my Vega 64 sold.
