So Microsoft DirectX 12 is behind Nvidia RTX? And for AMD they can use there own Radeon rays for DirectX 12 Ray tracing ?
DirectX Raytracing isn't limited to nvidia hardware, no. Nvidia are the first to implement a specific RT core as a seperate co-processor in a desktop GPU (powervr had a go at doing the same for a mobile chip but it didnt really go anywhere). AMD can use their GCN cores currently to also do some raytracing using DXRT but obviously the performance is going to be much less than if you have a dedicated set of RT cores.
