***The (renamed) official Ogame thread***

Ah, my missiles did the trick. 17 large cargos in total, only support by light fighters strolled right in and walked off with 151918 Metal, 119548 Crystal and 53954 Deuterium in total. Not bad for the cost of 2 IPMs :D

can someone scan 2:13:10 as i had all my probes destroyed earlier and now cant build any more becuase of my cruisers that are being built. and i want to raid something!!!

cheers

Can IPMs knock out both shield domes?
According to raksim_e (Google for it), a single IPM can knock out both shield domes in one shot, assuming there is no other defence in place. Obviously as the defence increases you'll need more IPMs.

Hi guys,

Attacked this guy earlier ....

4:191:3 - came away with 80k, 30k, 20k ...

Fair do's, but got back from work just and got a message saying ' Why are you attacking me, I will unleash the power of the RAF.. LOL '

When a planet has a T by it, is that the main planet, because I attacked 4:191:3. .and he messaged me from 4:191:9

So, could anyone ASAP probe 4:191:9, and attack him? it's got a few resource, about 70k, but i've nearly got another fleet at 4:191:3 and don't want to lose the fight if he decides to send any of his fleets to 4.191.3 ... just need to scare him a bit :P

if a planet has a T next to it, it means theres a debris field. hover your cursor over the T and it will tell you how much is there. normally bugger all..

ahhhh, cool :)

Could people just probe this guy a few times, and if anyones close and can destroy him defence and fleets would be great ;)

There are some tasty inactive planets near me protected by misile launchers and a few small lasers. How much of a force or what weapons would I need to get by say, 20 missile launchers?

Get yourself a copy of Speedsim and run through the numbers, t'is incredibly accurate...

For 20 missile launchers you are looking at 17 heavy fighters, 3 cruisers or 27 light fighters would do it, but you would lose 9 of those light fighters, the figure for cruisers/heavy fighters is enough to win with no losses...

So if I'm raiding someone I send my light fighters with my cargo ships in the same fleet as opposed to seperate fleets?

And remember - Cruisers have RF of 10 against ML's.
So, on average, for every combat round, the cruisers will take out 10 ML's.
So I'd have 3 Cruisers if it were only 20ML's.

But yep - Check the alliance page - Barclay has made a v nice intro section at the bottom - It has links to speedsim etc.

EDIT - And Yes. ALWAYS have the fighters etc in the same fleet.
As SOON as your first wave leaves (hopefully full of res), 70% of the defences grow back.
Not good if the second fleet is just cargo's...

Nooooooooooo, just found a target with lovely resources, got enough attacking ships to wipe out his defence (no fleet :)) but not enough cargo's left at home to store all the possible resources :( :p

afaik Speedsim doesn't deal with inter planetary missiles, which is the only thing that anti ballistic missiles will shoot at, you need (think) raksim_e, not tried it just heard it mentioned in this thread...

Dunno whether they are auto-firing or not either...
