Yep - I still rarely attack a planet with defences.

Even then, usually 1 bomber or a few cruisers are all I will send.

Look for people with (i) beside the planet... Or (iI) - They are inactive and usually their defences have been beaten down by other players.
Leaving you free to just pop in and gather the res.

It's now very rare I actually attack anyone *without* defences. All the good inactives by me with no defences seem to be farmed by several people, so it's pot luck whether I get there first or not. I tend to look for people with moderate defences that 20+ battleships can break through easily enough, and hit them.
 
Everyone I hit has defences - those without are too heavily farmed to be worth bothering with. Then again, when you drop 150+ BS and 100+ cruisers on some poor chap that colony usually ends up on its way to general farmdom too after a few visits.

Out of curiousity - why have you only got a level 10 fusion - by my calculations (which may well be wrong) - it'd cost you less for each point of energy if you upgraded to fusion level 11, than to upgrade to solar plant 28 (although, to be fair - I didn't take the deut consumption into account...).

Using the same figures, it seems my slot 15 solar sats. are actually a pretty good deal (even at 8 energy each) - when the costs of the other methods gets so high.
Although they're vulnerable - it looks like they'll be worth getting at some point.

Hehe, I didn't get another fusion plant because my fusion plant is only running at 30% at the moment. I need to upgrade the mines before I need something energy wise. Otherwise at this level one problem is that 300 extra energy isn't what I need. The next level of solar plant gives me twice as much, and although the price is high, I could afford it at the time :)

It depends on how desperate you are for more energy. I usually colonise warm planets now anyway. Warmer planets are great because I simply get solar sats to pump out thousands of energy - I don't even need fusion on a slot 4 planet, solar sats entirely power my level 18 deuterium plant :D

Lets face is, 60 solar sats is pocket change :p
 
today i made 1.4 million in resources (850k metal, 550k crystal) some muppet send his fleet at one of my unprotected colonys

so i sent 150 Battleships to meet him on the other end... 3 minutes before he arrived mine docked and blew his 512 ships into pieces....

now im going to start raiding as i would normally on any other day :p (only just snagged the rather large DF and shipping it all over :)

Do I come out of n00b protection once I advance into the main T.N.G ?.

The small cargo ships are approximately as big as fighters, but they are doing without efficient engines and aircraft armaments to manage more room for their cargo space. The small cargo ship is in charge of a loading capacity of 5'000 resource units. The large transport ship transports the fivefold material. Simultaneous the armour, shields and engines were improved. In cause of their low fire power cargo ships are mostly escorted by other ships.

The basic speed of your small transporters is raised as soon as impulse engine level 5 has been researched as they are supplied with impulse engine then.

You have no chance to survive make your time !!!

You'll be out of noob protection before you go into TNG. You come of protection at 5000 points and you stay in TNGA to I think it's 7500 points.

Click on alliances, then to the right of Members is Members list, clicking it gives you the alliances members vital statistics :cool: .

Yup, take both of them out and you'd win with small losses. Get yourself SpeedSim as soon as you can, it's invaluable when raiding, and only a fool sends a fleet out without knowing whether he'll win or not. :)
