he has probed me a couple of times before, but last night he probed me about a load times and then wiped out my 2 planets

edit. i didnt have a fleet worth smashing, on any res to steal, only about 20k of each...
Tokra is well known for attacking people he considers noobs, simply for the hell of it. What did he attack you with?
 
How do people sent circular message ingame??? I can't find the option to do it.

Also, I've lost most of my fleet !!! Sent them to raid someone who from my esp (8 of them) tells me he has no defence, got there and got wiped out !!!! I think i need higher esp levels.

What did the combat report say?

I bet if he had no fleet or defence before you attacked then his fleet must have returned before you got there - ships don't just explode by themselves - the information in the Combat Report should tell you what you were up against.

To send circular messages click on the Alliance page and there's a link there - try not to abuse it though as people's inbox's get very full very quickly
 
His fleet must have returned or he's built something really fast.

He only had 9 missles and 3 small lasers with a small shield ! I have 150 missles myself...:(
 
Raymond... Did you use Speedsim, or the online equivalent?
A small shield will stop any LF's or cargo's.

And only use circular messages for important announcements.
Don't just send message after message of "Getting attacked" etc.
Especially for peeps without commander as it is a nightmare.

Lots of good info, and keep going back as you'll pick up more and more info.
 
small shields are extremely resilient - that probably held you there for a long time while the missiles and lasers picked off your ships

what did you send at him anyway just out of interest?
 
I have a few planets in a distant bit. Might send my fleet there. Only problem is is that My home planet I've built up quite nicely. Research Labl lvl 10, Robotic lvl 10, shipyard lvl 10. Don't really want to abandon it.

Viper - It's not a case of abandoning it as such...
Just don't fleetbuild there.

Build your fleet elsewhere, but still develop your main planet.
Fleetsaving would probably be a bit akward but knowing when to recall the deployed fleet, so it arrives back once a day would be OK.

Load the cargo's with res, send them away... After so long, recall them.
Then once they get back - See if you can build/research... If not, send cargo's off to 2nd planet again.

You could always send res to the planet too.
If you see an attack coming in, recall the cargo's etc.

So you can still use it for research... But just don't build a fleet there.
He will continually attack your fleet if it builds in "his" space.


The option is with you... Either keep building at main planet and getting crashed all the time.
Or move operations to a different place and not get crashed.
 
I was thinking of using it to build my fleet and ship them off to a distant planet but won't he be able to trace the destination?

It's just the fact that I was going to get nanites and use it as a building/research planet.

Might try and build up a different planet. Would a planet with 222 fileds be considered good for a new home planet?
 
I only have a few cargo's and 1 bomber at my main planet... But still do all my research from there.
Ship res to it as and when I need some more - Also trading in Gal1 is good.

And 222 fields would make a spot on 2nd planet. :)
(I have 3 "main" planets... My home, and 2 raiding colonies)

Even JC's home planet does very little.
 
Right got a few choices here:

I have enough res to upgrade to either of below:
Robotics Factory lvl9 - Reason i want a firm footing on my way to nanites
Shipyard lvl9 - Would like shipyard things to be build quicker!
Espionage Tech lvl8 - Well we all know the advantages of lvl8, but where i live i am very rarely probed nor attacked at present.
With a little more res i could get Rocket Silo lvl4 - is it worth bothering with interplanetry missiles yet?
Or finally Impules Engine lvl6 - Get eveything moving faster basically.

Would love Comp Tech lvl10 but i'm way to short on deut atm :p

LOL - this game can be played in SOOOO many different ways. :p

If it were me, I'd get Esp Tech 8. (It's the standard)

Wouldn't bother with IPM's unless you have a few nice target's to clean out the defence on.

Oh, and Comp Tech lvl10. ;)

I sent 6 large cargos, 20 or so light fighters and 2 Heavy fighters, it lasted 6 rounds before i got blown to pieces.

He has a small shield and missles, something that the esp report never picked up, even thou i sent 8 esp probe, thou only at lvl 3.
 
Right Esp Tech it is then, well maybe after i finish researching armour tech lvl8 2 hours to go, been waiting 14 already! On that note it may be time to upgrade my research lab eh. Everytime i go to, something is either researching, or i'd rather wait longer and research something i need at that point... What level is everyones research lab on atm? I'm on 7 but everything is taking ages to research!

Esp probes wont leave stuff out just because your a lower level, you get all or nothing so-to-speak. He was probably in the process of building it, or when he saw your incomming attack he put it in his queue. I assume you took an hour or more to get there, giving him time to complete the defence upgrade and wipe you out. Now if you'd listened to us, and attacked planets that are inactive (i) or (iI) and people without defences you'd be fine now :p.

lvl10... Only 1 research takes less than a day... Most of them 1 day and 22 hours. :p

And Raymond, if you clicked the link in my sig and read some of those threads... One of them advises that if you scan someone, and only see Resources/Fleet... You have not seen their defence.
If you SEE the defence tab, but there's noting below it... He has no defences.

If you cannot see the bar that comes up titled "Defence", you cannot see his defences.

As advised - Look for people with (i) or ven better (iI) as other players have usually destroyed their defences already.
Leaving you free to just build cargos.
(I've never used the LF's I built when I started...)
 
i have scanned someone with lvl 1 probe, its come back saying defence - nothing, BUT he has a rocket silo, all his buildings are lower lvl than mine and no defence says raid him, but i take it with his rocket silo he is just going to come back and and fire rockets at the people raiding him.
is there a limit or range to what these rockets can do? he is only a few galaxys down the road from me and i donot fancy comeing back to find my planet turned to dust.

Change of plan, upgraded Robotics for now so i will be lvl9 in 6 hours. Spent the rest on upgrading my fleet storage. I keep forgetting, and everytime i go to raid, i run out of small and large cargos and end up cutting myself short in the amount of res i can/should be able to raid. 8 Hours and i'll have a grand total of 120Small Cargos which i can send out tonight to bring stuff back for tomorrow, and then i'll get Esp Tech 8 ;). All sorted anyways :).


//Edit: Just out of interest how much does it cost to build a Nanite Factory lvl1? I know its a lot just wondered how much! Need to fit this into my "plan" somewhere...

If he's inactive... He's not there to fire any rockets. ;)

If he is active, and you want to raid him anyway... Then he might fire some rockets at you in a vengance attack, but he would need to build a lvl4 rocket silo before being able to fire any rockets at all. lvl4 = 80k Metal, 80K crystal.

So raid away.

Even if he does upgrade to lvl4... It would be a major waste of funds until he has a fleet to back up the missiles.
All missiles do is take out defence.
That's it.
So if he did use them, it would then be to allow his fleet to then raid your planet sans defences.
