***The (renamed) official Ogame thread***

Don't think there's any spare planets in my SS.

Don't suppose I could boot someone who is inactive off their planet and take that? :p

I ended up having to setup colonies six galaxies away from my home planet thanks to the surrounding one's being full of stronger players. Thankfully they're building up well and I've just acquired the Battleship so I can start building up my defences more.

Fortunately I've been left alone for the moment but it's only a matter of time before one of these stronger players takes notice.

Once I reached 10k points, the number 22 player in the entire galaxy took notice and attacked me with 250 battleships. I was able to fleet save however my homeworld is now off limits and is being probed constantly :(

P.S. Whats this "there is a big storm coming our way" about?

Yes I did.

I also posted my co-ords on the other ogame messageboard (not sure if that’s a good thing or not).

Not complaining though, quite happily plodding along building mines atm.

That deuterium takes an age though.

Sorry if this is a daft question but what does fleet saving involve? Is it just sending your fleet to another planet when an attack is headed your way?
As far as I know it is. Just getting your resources and fleet out of the way of attackers.

I have colonies in my solar system, luckily planet 5 moved out so I took that and planet 2. Got a 217 field for planet 5 and a 34 field for planet 2  . Still I kept is as it is just enough to get a deut mine lvl 16.

The rest of my colonies are several galaxies away and purely used for resource accumulation. They are too far to do sensible fleetsaves without a huge deut cost though.

Hi,

I introduced myself on the T.N.G/T.N.G.A ogame messageboard, but there doesn’t seem to be much activity over there.

My user name is Symposium.
Oh dear - one of the guys in your Solar System has a moon - that doesn't bode well i'm afraid though you should be protected from him for now by noob protection

How do you go about acquiring moons?

I assume thats worse than a player having multiple planets in an SS? Why?

Hi Rich99million,

I had a quick look in the galaxy section (although I don’t really understand it).

I noticed there are quite a few members from TeamKiwi neighbouring me who seem quite big.

Just me luck really.

Time to dig in and build up the defences?

Yeah, cos battle reports mention % chance of a moon forming, but I don't know how you acquire them...

Aren't moons formed by large debris fields?
yep you have to have a pretty large fleet crash around your planet - you then get up to a 20% chance based on how much debris there is - then you may or may not get a moon

The size of the moon also depends on how much debris there was, size matters for how many fields you have for building lunar bases etc aswell as how easy/hard it is for your moon to be destroyed (not sure if it's just deathstars that can do this or if a huge fleet will have a go too)

All the specifics are available on the OGame forum if you have a search around

Yeah i noticed them too - unlucky

You could build massive defences and keep the amount of resources sitting around to a minimum but if he has a phalanx (great big probing sensor thing) on his moon you've got no real chance of keeping any decent sized fleet around

I would concentrate on getting yourself colony ships and just get out of that area - don't build up your homeplanet needlessly as I expect you will end up effectively having to abandon your homeworld if you ever want a decent sized raiding fleet

of course you could try messaging them and see how they react - you may be able to set up some sort of agreement with them maybe (though not paying them anything as that would be against the rules)
