Aye. Fleet saving becomes all important now.
 
I found out to my cost just how important fleet saving is. A day out of n00b protection and I got hit by 300 battleships (I had about 30). I'm slowly rebuilding but the guy that got me is probing me almost daily as well as a couple of other stronger players.
 
Yeah, same thing happened to me. When I made it clear I knew how to fleetsave though, foiling a couple of their attacks (its costs a lot of deut to send a big fleet), they stopped wasting their res and backed down.
 
Or just do what i do, I only have 3 BS, but sit them next to 3 Plasma Canons, and 1200 Small lasers. It's not worth attacking me over for.
 
Nah not yet - think I'm going to switch my Heavy Fighter production over to fodder - after being fleet crashed last time I just want a small heavy fleet I can fleet save all the time incase I need it anywhere then I can build up the fodder and cargoes (I have a minimum of 5 Large Cargoes at my systems at any time to be able to move at least a large percentage away from my system should someone come a knocking.

I've sunk too many resources into defences which I thought I needed :( while neglecting my research which I need to switch back to at some point

I always put Mines and Research first. Those are solid points that you can't lose. I do have 70+ Cargos thou, i built them when i had to res save around a million res. Building Nanites and researching means no way to spent res for about 2 days !

Have since updated my techs a wee bit.

EDIT - And my defences were still at least hlaf of what I needed.
Enough defence to make a hit unprofitable = Best way to operate within moon territory.
But I had moved fleet in before the defences were finished, and been lazy.
He didn't make an awful lot of profit either... But I did send an attack in on his previous account.

So new moon to play with.
And mines are doing fairly well.

I had two colonies about 50-ish a while back but I got rid of them straight away and began to build another couple of colony ships. This is the result of that process.

I've rejected the app, all new players must join T.N.G.A first, as that's the wing alliance. The main alliance is only for the more experienced players. :)
 
I have a strange feeling [1:398:4] is going to attack me even though I have hardly any mats... He probed me, I probed him, he probed me, I probed him and he's probed me again. I hope he doesn't attack me becase I just found two of the greatest inactives with the best mats ever :)
