***The (renamed) official Ogame thread***

I'd go for G3 its still a dangerous galaxy but a lot safer than G1. Just learn to fleetsave while your still in noob protection and check out moons near you, beware the dreaded phalanx attack.

how do you know what your points are? looks like i only have 1 point at the moment. so do you 5000 point before you can get attacked?

you are protected against the bigger players until you hit 5000 points.

Points total is seen at the overview screen.

It is slow to get going, but after about 1 week. Things really do get going pretty quick. I've gained over 10,000 points in the past week alone.

what galaxies are they in, you don't want to be in G1 ;)

I'm in Gal 2, everyone says it's almost as bad as Gal 1, but it's been fine for me so far. I have resisted the temptation to probe a nearby planet of yours though ;) :p

Woo nearly up to 25k points after my crash :D got a nice big moon tho :D

Oh and if you are applying to TNG/TNGA please say if you are from OcUK otherwise you wont be allowed in!

I think G2 isnt as dangerous as it used to be. Wing303 who are still strong have lost some very good players who were based in G2 and caused a lot of problems, well they made me move right across G2 then leave it entirely, though that was a combination of Wing303 and PU players.

But you have to keep on your toes, it only takes an hour for a fleet to strike

Anyway feel free to probe :D

I'm 5 solar systems away from Knoxville and his moon :/ Still, I like where I am, plenty of pickings to be had, and I'm in the top 500 now so can look after myself against most people.

And keep your eyes out for my probes, if I see your planet again I'll donate some free crystal to you ;) :p

Yep - Position 3 planets are not ideal for big sizes.
(See the other thread for links to planet sizes)

It took me 7 attempts to get a planet over 180 fields in 4's and 5's for my second last one.

The reason I dropped in the rankings today is here

Also position 3 is usually bad, I always try for position 4 or 5 now. Better to keep trying, or you end up doing what I've done 3 times now and blowing up colonies

I've dumped my last 4 slot 4's as they were all stop swearing tiny !!!!

Any LOTR fans in the house?

Gained a 171 field colony last night and don't know what to call it. So far I have:

Imladris
Edoras
Moria
Belfalas
Doriath
