everyone still playing

ive gone a bit defense mad recently :o


Rocket Launcher (8.000 available)
Light Laser (3.000 available)
Heavy Laser (128 available)
Gauss Cannon (53 available)
Ion Cannon (169 available)
Plasma Turret (60 available)
Anti-Ballistic Missiles (30 available, max. 10)

is there any point in having this much?
 
That isn't really that much of a defence TBH

A certain member of our alliance has: -

Rocket Launcher (166.000 available)
Light Laser (100.700 available)
Heavy Laser
Gauss Cannon (3.800 available)
Ion Cannon (3.800 available)
Plasma Turret (1.029 available)
Small Shield Dome (1 available)
Large Shield Dome (1 available)
Anti-Ballistic Missiles (90 available)


Defence is as good as what you have on your planet vs the size of fleets willing go for it.

You really want to be upgrading your mines and sending out fleet to raid whoever you can.

what uni you in?
 
That was the biggest defence in Ogame.org. A player in uni 7 has the biggest defence now.
Check out the Ogame boards it is on there!

That would be my defence in Uni 3!

If you want to turtle your account then carry on building it, Its good to keep little amounts of fleet planet side if you have a large defence!

However, if I was you I would build some more ABM's as someone can easily build the IPM's to get a lot of that defence if you are keeping a lot of res or fleet on that planet! Just a suggestion if you are hoping to keep the defence.
 
It is going strong.

We also have a wing alliance T.N.G.A, which was formed due to the large amount of members within our alliance.

T.N.G.A is more of a recruiting alliance where as T.N.G is now for the big guns (Top 200 with points averaging at 1.7 million)

Still in the top 100, although there are more and more TNG overtaking me now. :/

Mines will be to 31/28/25~26 in a few days. :)
World of Warcraft has taken over as my main game, but still take the fleet out for a spin every now and then. :D

Bah, you're a WoW player too Conc?

At least it'll eventually allow me to get closer to the average points level for T.N.G - every cloud has a silver lining I guess :D

I used to be an occasional poster back in 2001/02 -ish, but the forums got nuked I think and I didn't bother rejoining.

Ogame is dead though, gameforge have ****** us all over with their terrible decisions (officers, ingame changes, new uni's) and now each universe is dying a slow death.

Welcome message in the inbox when you create an account
I was just thinking, part of the problem with people leaving universes is that they've been crashed, or not got passed the very early stages of building up basic mines etc.

What I'm suggesting, is that once the account is created it receives a private message saying something along the lines of:

With the account you have just created you have the potential to do many things, such as cause fear to those around you, and ensure your name is not forgotten. You could also take a more passive role, and build up a quiet but well structured and efficient empire. Whatever you chose to do we wish you the best of luck.

As mines don't produces anything without energy you should also build a solar plant, go back to Buildings and choose the solar plant and build it up.

Don't forget to read the Rules!
