***The (renamed) official Ogame thread***

Used to play in TNG in Universe 3, but gave my account away to another member.
Im still playing as the last remnant of TNG in Universe 11, LOL :)

So is Uni3 actually active then? I ask as Uni2 is pretty much dead, they have the figures around 2000 players but these keep magically appearing every couple of months, probable real amount of people actually playing is around the 600 mark. It's that bad that people are just going round defence bashing as there are no decent fleets left outside the top 50 to hit (for example i'm not a fleeter, but the No1 player in the uni regularly sends 700 RIPs to my turtle planet just to bash defence for no profit as he's bored!!!)

It's reasonably quiet these days, things happen in bursts, when there's a drive to co-ordinate strategic hits.

For example, we removed 12 moons over 3 days from one alliance, then went quiet again. We've got a smaller scale operation on at the moment.

The rank 1 player took out the rank 3 player's fleet two weeks ago for the now second biggest hit in the history of ogame.org (#1 at the time)

http://board.ogame.org/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=565832
followed by the former number 2 player taking out the former number 1 player's fleet

http://board.ogame.org/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=569249

Things are still happening. :)

Bringing up an old thread here I guess, but better than making a new thread about this game.

I played a few years back in uni 20, got into the top 200 but quit, now decided to have another shot, so have joined uni 46 (Capella). So just though I'd post here to see if anyone else is playing in this universe?

Still setting up really, getting some basic mines and then planning to get small cargos and try some blind raids on the people in my system. Should be safe enough as they're all too low on points to have any defences built yet.

I can't remember if this is the thread I first read about ogame in, but it's the most recently posted in and official.

I jumped into universe 3 and started building stuff and being so casual about the whole thing, I've forgotten about it more than once. Anyway, all of my mines have energy in the red, but my energy is total is 152/822. What am I doing wrong?

The energy coming up in red is fine - that's just to show it's a negative figure against the green one below which should be a larger number than the amount being drained in red.

You've got 152 more "energy" units before you break even and need a new power plant - but I'd still build another anyway as 152 doesn't get you very far!

Hurrah! Thanks for the info.

Wasn't even sure if I was going to post this tbh...

Spotted this sitting. Zer often shipped silly amounts of res to his planet and left it for ages.

Last time, I waited too long, launched recyclers, then he spent down.
This time I got him.
The follow ups were er, staggered just a bit (:p), Inbetween the first hit and wave one someone (;)) else got in and hit some returning cargos and recyclers, for a couple waves - and made a damn fine deut profit too!

I was going to reconvert the CR rather than copy/paste from the T.N.G forums, but I deleted them. So appologies for the unexciting conversion, I'd make it tidier but I'm meant to be working just now...

If Zer chooses to continue, GLOTR, otherwise GLIRL - I didn't hear a peep from him though, and he's now vac'd.
Anyway, here's the CR.

Shamefully I just discovered this and its my new favourite thing, being all self employed and stuff, working from home.

I'm on Electra. I just picked a random Quadruple Speed universe, as i've played these types of games before and i hate waiting around!

I did play in Electra for a time (same nick as here) but I haven't logged in for a long time so I think the account would have been deleted by now!

It is a nicer interface than the regular oGame one - seeing the resource counters ticking over without having to refresh the page is nice etc

I agree though it is stupid how long you wait when starting out so yea GL in there!

I've still got an account in uni 36 (ranked 111th) which I just play a few times a week - more of a miner than fleets person myself!

Its not a standard interface? Shows you what i know. I think its proper slick actually.

Is the only way to get Dark Matter to buy it? Cn i survive without it? Do i need to pay for anything else?

Otherwise, having fun :) Seems pretty decent!

Hey... if that account does exist and you dont want those resources,,, ;)

I can't login anymore so I think it's safe to say it's been nuked - but yea the Dark Matter is discoverable once you get expedition technology but you only really get tiny amounts of it that way and it's pot luck so sometimes you'll just loose your ships!

You can go without the stuff though so don't worry about it as it's only really for the Officer benefits which to be honest ruin the game so just stick with the basics :)
