The Ring

A friend of mine did this recently. He drove a rental 911 out there. Apparently there *may* be an unofficial service to drag your wreck onto a public road if the worst happens ;)
He went on a couple of pro laps before he went out himself. Some professional drivers took him on circuits in an M5 & a Dodge Viper. Apparently it was quite useful for when he went out himself.

M5 taxi and zakspeed viper at a guess?

Oh how the other half live :(

I think you should treat a loser like me to a day out in your car. and you dont even need to offer me any sweeties!

maybe we can have a OCUK road trip. Im defo doing 1 next year... Either with FiestaSTOC or if OCUK go..... :)

Goodish idea but because its such a big trip and costs so much you get 100 people signing up then it will endup with the usual people going.

Optional extras available at additional cost include armco repairs, safety car attendance, vehicle recovery, track closure, hospital stays and helicopter rides. I recommend avoiding these. If you can't, then the following price-list may help:

* Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
* Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
* Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
* Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
* Replacing armco post: €39 each
* Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
* Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
* Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
* Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)

Don't crash!

I plan on going next year, along with a couple others but wouldn't want to go in a large group to be honest. Whilst it may seem like a cool idea I think it could get annoying and rather troublesome.
