A friend of mine did this recently. He drove a rental 911 out there. Apparently there *may* be an unofficial service to drag your wreck onto a public road if the worst happens
He went on a couple of pro laps before he went out himself. Some professional drivers took him on circuits in an M5 & a Dodge Viper. Apparently it was quite useful for when he went out himself.

Goodish idea but because its such a big trip and costs so much you get 100 people signing up then it will endup with the usual people going.

Your insurers may not cover you at all, or they might want more monies..
