Is it just me or does the price for Kuyt seem to be fluctuating a lot. One paper this morning reckons he'd be available for about £6M but skysports has wenger supposedly interested in him for around £10M.

Seems gonzalez has quit international football over the fallout from chile's tour of europe. Hopefully this means we won't lose him half way through the season to friendlies/qualifiers.

On the kuyt issue I think a lot of people still remember the last top goal scorer to come from the dutch league and his inability to score in the premiership.

I think postgame fans are well within their rights to have a go at whoever they wish. After all what is football without differing opinions, part of being a fan of football is talking cack about it in the pub. Also without the zealots on the radio/forums who else would we have to laugh at and gauge our own fanaticism. But during a game I think booing is despicable, its not going to help the player(s) perform any better IMO.

IIRC don't Liverpool have to qualify for the main champions league competition. I'm guessing those games havn't been arranged yet, that's why they don't show up on the fixture list.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't there some talk a while back about a greek side not being entered into the competition therefore giving liverpool the automatic group place?

How stupid is this? why loan out your second choice keeper, to bring in another second choice keeper, on loan?

Maybe he feels your second choice is a long way from being a first choice so has brought in someone further along the road of development. Keepers do tend to take far longer to get 'good'.

Maybe he feels he'll put more pressure on van der sar to perform.
