The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

Thanks for your info before @Panos it helped. Got a sustained 1650ish core atm (-100mv, +50% PL) with a conservative 900 on the (Samsung) memory (to get a solid baseline), performs well I really like it AND the tweaking software is fantastic! More testing needing to be done, as I realise that core clock is pretty good so it might be too good to be true...

Performing pretty damn well at 3440x1440p with Medium settings and a few tweaked to High

hey guys ive bought a vega 56 nitro + limited edition its coming soon do you know if they can be flashed to vega 64?

also I heard its the best vega 56 money can buy is that correct? im pretty excited for it to arrive

all the best

You should be able to flash the card with a V64 Nitro+ BIOS but this will not make it a full 64. The BIOS will only add more volts to the VRAM allowing for ~100MHz higher memory overclocks. IMO it is NOT worth the risk of losing warranty for a few percent real-world gains.

The Nitro+ has a great cooler and improvements to PCB layout. Whether it is the best depends more upon the GPU/VRAM lottery as some are better than others, and you never really know what you get until you try. Saying that, a good cooler and PCB will allow you to get the best out of whatever silicon is attached.

Its flashed with the 64 bios. And I'll do another run and update with wattman pics and 3DMark score.

Ah ok. Yeh pics of that would be great. I'm currently testing at 1600mhz/1000mv in benchmark. Not touched memory get.

What's a good typical 3dmark score with a 4.5ghz 2600k? I'm getting just under 16000 score.

Edit: here's my firestrike result for 1632core/1000mv, gpuz shows almost 1680mhz?

What are the under load temperatures at mate?

Max'ing out about 62c, but I have a case/fans built more for silence than airflow (and it's pretty much next to my ear!) :) The Pulse I've set to max out at 1950ish-rpm.

Lian-Li 011 with 4 120mm Noiseblocker fans (3 incoming at side at low-rpm and 1 below gfx card) and a be!quiet 240mm Silent Loop to expel :)

Keeps it all generally nice and cool with minimal noise when gaming (utter silence on idle). I really need to build a nice W/C setup at least once in my life :D

Ive set P7 as minimum state in wattman so it effectively runs at the same speed 24/7, is this a bad idea? Cant see why it would be given that im running at 1000mv. Also noticed a strange discrepancy in gpuz showing that HBM temps got to 2000C and power draw was 3000w....must be an error otherwise my pc would set off out my window surely lol
