The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Thanks.. Did you manage to find away to keep memory clocks stop dropping?

Only by ensuring all votage controls have the same number entered. In my case .950mV, going any higher seems to cause the memory and core to drop to lower states. Or by using the default balanced mode.

Still coming :(

And "some" people would have you believe there's nothing wrong with them, how many returns of the AIO card are we seeing compared to the air cooled card on this forum alone? Has to be something wrong with these things.

@AMDMatt time to ask the higher ups at amd what the craic is with these things, i think almost everyone that got one originally now on here at least has had to go through a replacement.. Older, ******* chip revision or something else? You'd have to be taking the koolaid intravenously to think that that AIO ones seemingly failing more is just by chance.

Bois, im having some issues using 2 screens... Anyone else experience trouble with it ?

My first and main monitor is connected with DisplayPort and running 144Hz. Second monitor is connecten HDMI and running basic on 60Hz.
Everytime i'm playing a game on my first monitor and playing, for example, twitch in browser on my second monitor, the performance drops. It also feels not so stable, hard to describe the right feeling but something like that.

Any of you guys experience with 2 monitors ?

Oh, i'm also running my 64AC with the switch on position 2, so should be the second bios ??

Edit 2 atikmdag. Sys so it's deffo the driver update.
Edit 3 think it may be hbcc related used ddu and all is good. should have done that to begin with was feeling lazy..

17.9.1 installed, seems like the HEVC bug might be fixed, need to see what happens rest of night as it's still early. No stutter when watching videos or internet content now :). Just benched again, slight improvement and slightly lower voltages :)

All in all, pretty happy.

why cant you?
Because I'll be tweaking and running benches on the new drivers. Or I would if I could get the drivers installed - I'm getting the 1603 general error message that it says in the release notes won't affect the installation however it seems to stopping the installation early as I'm not getting the option to install Relive. Also when I try and open up Radeon Setting I'm getting a system error: 'The code execution cannot proceed because Qt5Widgets.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem'. Tried twice now with no success.

Edit: DDU sorted it.

Anyone tried enabling HBCC on the new drivers yet? Radeon settings keeps crashing after hitting apply for me...

Don't quote me but I saw on a forum the other night that there is a rumour going around that the C0 chips are 'failed' Instinct M125 chips and this is what is causing the issues. Can't remember where I saw it though. I suppose you have to harvest 'failed' chips for cards further down the line but would that be a great move from AMD considering the reputational hit from so many RMA's. I'm not convinced TBH.

I think the profit margin is so razer-thin on Vega (hence the rip-off 'packs') that they took a risk with them and tried to get away with them using the AiO cooling, crossing their fingers and hoping they'd generally be alright. They really aren't.
