The SFF Case Gallery And Specs Thread

Finally got all the bits in my lovely hoojum cubit3 working. Had a lot of trouble getting the slot loading optical drive to work in the IDE bus so spent £25 and got a 44pin -> SATA adapter shipped from italy which has solved my problems and replaced my desktops memory with some new stuff.
(Just waiting for a HD4000 card to come out that doesn't use more than 60 Watts (120 Watt PSU) and is no longer than 15cm long and single height)
Anyway here's a quicky of it now.

What you think? (should I get it sprayed black or not?)
T2600 (2.16Ghz core duo)

Commell LV 677-DC

Wow, awesome little build. Any internal pictures?

I wouldn't get it sprayed black, looks fine as it is.

OK so I didn't think I was going to be overly busy in work on friday and I have more tools to pay with there so I took it into work to have a go at playing with the cables - he's what it looks like for now, hopefully in the next week sometime I can replace the insulation tape with shrink rap after I actually solder the wires together.

you can see the room down the side of the hard drive for the internal power if your mobo doesn't have it built in.

the bottom tray looks a little worped from pictures, but don't think it really is - strange

will post picture of back on when get camera out again, forgot that.

you've been waiting to show that off in full for so long now V|PER :D

Yup :D But i still couldn't be bothered to wait until it's finished... changing the full cover block for a nickel plated one too now.

Things are on a go slow, because my main rig decided to go bang, and it appears to have taken most of the componants with it, so i'm trying to sort that out whilst using this SFF =(

Just got my new SFF gaming rig :)

Spec:
Asus P5E-VM HDMI matx motherboard
4gb Geil Black dragon pc2-6400 800Mhz RAM
Powercolor Ati 4850 at stock settings
Intel C2Q Q6700 at stock
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Samsung Spinpoint f1 320gb
OCZ 500w StealthXStream

The systems really quiet aswell.

Will post pics and edit this post later. :)

Set up my new HTPC.

Consists of the following:

e7200 @ stock
4gb of OCZ PC6400 DDR2
Intel DG45FC "Fly Creek" ITX mobo
250gb HDD
Panasonic DVDRW slot loading drive
120w PICO PSU with a 102w power block
Hoojum Cubit 3 case

Running Vista 64.

Has onboard video with an HDMI output. Streams video and audio over this and runs 1080p with no problems at all - between 20% and 30% cpu usage.

Also idles @ around 65w, runs full load @ 90w and draws around 70-75w when playing HD material.

Here are some pics of the board and PC in place:

whats the damage for all that lot? I'd love to ditch my pc for one of those and force myself onto my xbox!!

In fact you could hide one of those inside a pc chassis for a low power browser with a 2xxx pentium in it!

I'd thought the same TBH - just love my main PC a little too much! :)

Case was 2nd hand with a 533mhz VIA eden mobo, ram, hdd and optical drive and the sata hdd was one i already had.

Cost was the following:

CPU and cooler - £60
DDR - £40ish
Case and DVD drive - £60ish
PSU and power brick - £60ish
HDD - worth about £30 i think
Mobo - £90

So £340 in all.

If it was all brand new i would imagine it would come to around £500.
