Oh and MB, ignore the 'women' comment, I'm just bitter and twisted - it was tongue in cheek and not directed at your wife :)

I thought so, but I'd just got up and was feeling a bit grumpy :)

I'm happier now, apart from the fact I'v just gone and lashed £1400 on a new leather sofa and footstall

Right

I have now booked

Bowling for 20 people for 3 games at 3.30 on the 12th March

And

Old Orleans for 24 people (you never know) for 7.30 on the 12th of March

They have taken £60 off my CC for the bowling so unfortunately your all going to have to give me £3 which is a real pain in the butt!

Oh well at least its all sorted

I also noticed that one of the pubs I was considering taking everyone to in town is in the process of being referb'ed and will be finished in time for the 12th :)

Actually this is a question we couldn't answer at the Leeds meet (well the morning after anyway).

MB?

Either The Hogshead or one of the Weatherspoons pubs, both of which are pretty big.

@ Tiggy - I don't have a problem with it but they will be on the floor with you unless SKILL is going to be a gent and give up the futon for both of you to use. We can accomodate more bowlers

Sorry I was writing on my XDA in training so it was a bit of a short response

Combats, jeans whatever you like for the pub and club on Friday, its a really relaxed indie club and there will rockers, goths, indie kids and norms so wear what you feel comfortable in. I will get H's advice for girls but as far as I can see same goes. Those who are suited and booted will stick out far more than scruffs. Trainers are compulsary in any colour but bright white :)

Saturday same goes, Old Orleans aren't too fussy and you want to be comfortable to bowl

Is it too late to put myself and the gf down as a possible? If not, can you let me know of some cheap-ish hotels that aren't too far away please Mat. We need to make sure we can afford it, and would need to leave fairly early on the Sunday as she's teaching on Monday, but we'd both love to come, especially after the fun of Leeds (plus I want a shot at those bowling trophies :p)

Not too late at all try here first http://www.innkeeperslodge.co.uk/lodgedetail.asp?LodgeID=34

if they are full I will find you a suitable alternative

I'm off to pickup the trophies now :)

I will say this again

Maidstone on a Saturday night is Rubbish

We have about 4 or 5 clubs

Jumping Jaks - Cheese and Chav night
Icon - Poncey shirt and shiney shoes & beep beep music
Liquid Lounge - Grab a granny (if she doesn't grab you first; music like a chavs wedding reception)

Someone else local might think of something, I think maybe the River Bar has a late licence?

:(

Old Orleans will most likely throw us out at 11pm

I have had it pointed out to me that we also have

The Source Bar - Poncey
The Chicago Rock Cafe - Oh dear!

There is a little bar with a mini dance floor called Banks that I used to go to sometimes, it has a cocktail bar upstairs and tends to get a better class of punter, we would probably need something other than scruffy jeans but I can't remember properly.
