Yeah, then the trailers come that these days are essentially a by the numbers look at the movie and you can figure it out pretty easily.
 
I'll wait for the trailers to make a more informed decision but so far I've got zero hype about seeing it after the mess of the first one and god-awful HQ movie which seriously spoiled the HQ character for me.
 
Guardians of the Galaxy is/was James Gunn behaving himself for a mainstream audience, this is much more like his standard modus operandi if you’ve seen his older films.
 
Looks like it will give a few giggles and shove in a couple hours... and that's about all I ask for a superhero film. ..
 
I quite liked the red band trailer. I must admit I quite enjoyed the original movie, it was far from perfect but I liked some of the humour and we had definite sense of peril for characters. Here's hoping Gunn turns out anohter good one.
 
Most people seem to be commenting on this in the 'what have you watched' thread.

It was nowhere near as good as I was hoping to be honest, having read some fairly glowing 4 star reviews. It was certainly weird, but not funny enough. The only thing that really made me laugh was Polka dot man seeing his mum everywhere.

Can't really fault the direction or acting, but it was missing a certain spark.

I doubt I would ever watch it again, even though it was miles better than the original movie
 
I thought the original was terrible, and this one unfortunately even worse.

Dc continue to show that they just can't compete with marvel in their ability to make super hero movies that aren't about batman.

I don't get why they bothered to reboot to make this. This really was a totally pointless film.

Super hero movies are only ever as good as the enemy they arr fighting. In this movie its a giant star fish ffs.

See this only if you have nothing better to watch.
