Where does that state you can't use it on electricals? I even asked someone who works for them and they specified it works for electricals. I bought an OLED 2 weeks ago with the code and gained 20% off.

If you've already used it then it seems (from the wording) you won't be able to use it again to buy another gpu.

They've obviously ballsed their system up because the voucher still works, so the payment would be taken, can't see them saying "you've used this twice, please bank transfer us 20% of the value of your order thanks"

Share the voucher in that case, they'll be writing songs about you for DECADES!

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 3DMark Time Spy Extreme Benchmark On Par With GeForce RTX 3080 – Rumor Claims Great Drivers, Excellent Temperatures But Noisy Cooler https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-6800-xt-3dmark-time-spy-benchmark-on-par-with-rtx-3080/

I expected it to be at least a little noisy, looking forward to hearing what reviewers think.

AIBs should solve the noise issue anyway. I am not concerned by the stock cooler really. I really want to know how well they overclock though. If 2.4-2.5Ghz really is possible then they should be beasts.

Because:
-16GB VRAM;
-better driver user interface - modern;
-Radeon Image Sharpening; Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, FidelityFX

Agree on the 16GB VRAM

Driver interface is not important as long as the drivers work. I don't care how pretty a interface works if the underlying use doesn't work right, also some interfaces are over the top and lets be honest how many times to you go in there after setting things up.. ? I just want things that work tired of issues with drivers.

FidelityFX needs to be seen first.

Also I feel a bit uneasy by AMDs benchmarks that they put up on their site and many of them are way off for the 3080 and 3090 just by visiting any site that has benchmarked these cards and some of the benchmarks they even add 1 frame just to make it look like they beat the Nvidia card. Something is off with the AMD gpus to me, look at what they did with their 5000 cpus they priced them higher than intel for a reason. With their gpus they are priced too low and AMD is not a charity anymore, 6800xt at $650 and a extra 8cu for $999 that is meant to beat a 3090.. humm sure.. I think people are over hyping these gpus and reality will come out soon and all saying well consoles use them so better for pc has never been true in past.

Anyways lets see but I'm sure AMD cards have some downfalls at these prices and again depends what you use your cards for too, if not all gaming then the AMD cards may not be the right choice. Just something isn't sitting right with me after seeing their official benchmarks with their 5000 cpus with all the extras turned on like SAM and Rage mode. If that is the best case what they have shown then the none reference nvidia cards still beat them, their so called 3080 and 3090 results are way off to me, some gimping somewhere is going on maybe having SAM on with Nvidia actually causes them to behave slower. Anyways we will see in a few days, but I feel like their CPUs are going to be a slight win and their gpus not so much, especially on software that likes nvidia cards and actually makes certain important titles work well like FS2020, AMD has always been a fail with MS flight sim for a long time now. Lets see I hope not this time as the 9800XT will be the one I get then instead of the 3090 but it all feels like what happened in the past when AMD could compete with nvidia but older titles and newer ones like FSX/FS2020 didn't go too well with AMD cards.

Would love the idea to save £400-£800 on the GPU compared to the 3090FE and 3090 AIB models but like i learned in the past the saving turned into a loss in end with time and money selling the old card at a loss.

You almost got me, doesn't work. I'd written half the song too

Exactly... not sure how he got it working...As twitter is full of people complaining about it and the reply was it's a 20% voucher to use on certain products and electricals is not one of them. I have same code too and same code clearly given to everyone.

If you just go with the pricing and "AMD are not a charity" logic...

AMD are confident that the 6800 is faster than the 3070.
AMD think the the 6800XT is close to the 3080 (maybe $50 discount for inferior ray tracing?)
AMD are confident that the 6900XT is faster than the 3080.

People won't get to spend actuall money until after the reviews come out, so the pricing has to hold up in the light of independent reviews.

I'm hopeful that AMD's first gen ray tracing can't be used to try and justify the pricing and AMD is offering legit raw performance.

Yeah but if the stock cooler was quiet enough I would happily buy it too without paying the AIB tax. If there is a significant difference I will go for a Sapphire custom card.

For sure, we will just need to wait and see what kind of pricing the AIBs put on. It might even have been that the fans were ramping higher than they need to, so were louder than anticipated.

I was presuming it was for a certain spicy competitor, one that you might enjoy with a naan. If that's not correct then it might actually work!
