What's the latest on these 6000-series chaps?

Where are the UK pricing?
Any more new benchmarks apart from cherrys?
Stock levels in UK? Hows it looking? RT pefromance?
What's happening with the train, is it on course?

Loving the 3070 FE atm, driver set is next lvl, fan stop is amazing and the power all for under 200W is next gen.
Driver feel so easy, so uncluttered in comparison to AMD.

Hope we get some more on these cards otherwise I just might stick with the FE....

Realistic levels of pedestrians and traffic would make for a horrible gaming experience once you got over the novelty of "oh neat, look at all these cars and people".

There's a middle ground between "almost no-one" and "realistic". Do you think this is the first game to have crowds and pedestrians in it or something?

I the few articles I've seen comparing raytraced visuals of RTX and what is essentially AMD (RDNA2/ PS5 / Xbox) I've felt a bit like the latter with its lower resolution raytrace seems more realistic. Probably just me but the reflections in puddles / windows / shiney surfaces in real life aren't pristine and sharp, so the raytraced version shouldn't be either. Its that, or as with any new tech raytracing is being over emphasised to an extent with nvidia to show off what it can do.

From what i understand, pristine/sharp reflections are less demanding on the hardware. We may see devs using post processing the reflection to reduce the sharpness.

I'm really hoping we get some of the DirectML upscaling info soon!!!! They said it would drop before the cards themselves iirc?
I saw Frank confirming info about RT Perf before they launch, but I don't recall anything regarding their upscaling tech. I could be wrong though.

That was me.

I posted details from Asus Rep saying there were going to be supply issues and one (not all) of the issues which contribute to that was substrate supply.

Interesting recently Coreteks have reported that AMD have had to reallocate substrate supply because of the shortage. (Yes, I know coreteks isn't the definitive source buts the same news has come from multiple different places now)

We will have to see exactly how it affects the GPU launch but judging by the CPU (which they'd of undoubtedly allocated more to due to margin) i can't see it being great.

I found something interesting. It seems some FC BGA packages use ABF (Ajinomoto Buildup Film) as buildup material which is in tight supply.

Jun '20 report
"ABF substrate shortages may widen into 2021. ABF substrate supply shortfalls are likely to widen further into 2021 as demand for 5G infrastructure, networking and high-end GPU and CPU applications has outgrown capacity expansions by makers of the substrates, according to industry sources."

Sep 20 report
"ABF substrate supply to stay tight despite no shipments for Huawei"

Now i don't know if Navi uses ABF. It would be right up the alley for chemical engineers frequenting the forums. Should be interesting to disuss
