Somewhere around the 75k mark, it's due around now and will be done by next week.
While to some this might be annoying, it does mean you can average high 30's MPG when not hooning it and keeping the revs down.
I did a motorway journey the other week and just sat in the slow lane with the cruise control on 70, and I was getting about 41mpg. I couldn't believe it. I'll definitely do that more often on long journeys.
cruise control is for tight wadds,
I have nearly 200,000 miles on my engine, and that's turbocharged.
Stop worrying.![]()
It's handy in 50 limit zones with specs.
It's also fun setting it at 120mph and letting it accelerate through each gear (re-enabling it each time, obviously)![]()
Uh, are you sure?[TW]Fox;18636469 said:You need a newer car, more modern cars now don't disengage the cruise when you push the clutch in so you can accelerate from 20 to 120 through the gears![]()
Uh, are you sure?
Or do you mean that it re-engages when you lift off the clutch?
Well if it doesn't do that then the cruise control had been disengaged, hasn't it?[TW]Fox;18636576 said:I think its pretty obvious what I mean, try thinking about it a bit harder.
Hint: I don't mean as soon as you put your foot on the clutch the cruise control revs the car to the limiter.
