So you've decided the answer to your question then is a 10-12 year old Honda Civic hatchback that costs as much if not more than the next gen model thats half the age?

You've no idea what you really want, though. I mean heck we were discussing V8 5 Series earlier.

I'm amazed you've managed to test drive all the others though in such a short space of time. Or didnt you bother?

So basically you've gone out and bought the first car you've seen, without test driving any of the cars in your OP?

Not exactly.

I know the RX8, I've driven one.

I ruled out the M3 based on what I've been told in this thread (and really what I already knew) - that it would be expensive once you start tracking it.

Similar story to the M3 for the RA and Evo, Well, that and the RA is silly money to insure. Plus the Evo was a fair bit over budget anyway.

I decided on the Honda because of the low cost of ownership and its "pedigree" if you like. They are cheap to run and insure, reliable as hell and suffer little depreciation. I swung towards the EK9 because it seems that a clean, standard DC2 is hard to find and a clean, standard EK9 came up at a good price.

I'm fairly confident based on a ride in a DC2 and discussing the differences with someone who has driven both, that the EK9 will be what I want, but I've arranged a go in an EK9 for the weekend to seal the deal.

Lets face it, people will always feel special by targeting people behind keyboards, and it becomes really easy when a bandwagon starts rolling. Whatever the outcome was, there would be something wrong, there was no possible action here where people would have said 'Ok, nice one', because people are posting to the bandwagon rather than the thread.

Your latest attempt for attention was no something we've (who is this "we" anyway?) made up, it was clear and present and I maek da poast.

You don't think most people in here wouldn't call you out for being as awful as you are on here if you come across as badly it face to face as well?

What is bad about anything I've posted in this thread? I asked for advice, something which motors is usually only too keen to offer.

Until I was forced to reason why I wanted a UK Spec DC2 over a 96 spec a million times, the thread was serving it's purpose well.
