Well the 8086 prices have been lower than the 8700k recently so whilst I get they are the same Product your better off choosing on price.Well I dunno what to say.... Want to buy some sky hooks, buckets of steam and glass nails ?

The video is very interesting and on the whole results are so close that there is nothing in it at all when gaming in high resolution. It makes for a compelling argument to go Ryzen. The only fly in the ointment is badly coded games like Far Cry which will max out one core to 100%. For those, having Intel’s higher single core performance is still a benefit. Hopefully, cases like this will become less common in future.for gaming intels are a lot faster. they can be close but in general even top ryzens are about the same as a basic i5 in games as for the higher end i7s not a chance. especially on high hz monitors. the prices are good though. give gibbo that.
Nope, quite a few sites do show higher frames even at 1440p with Intel CPUs. So it's not just 1080p. Probably doesn't matter as much to those with 60hz screens though.The video is very interesting and on the whole results are so close that there is nothing in it at all when gaming in high resolution.
I was mostly looking at 4K, I would only drop to 1440p if the game demanded it. Fair point about the minimums though.Nope, quite a few sites do show higher frames even at 1440p with Intel CPUs. So it's not just 1080p. Probably doesn't matter as much to those with 60hz screens though.
And again that video only shows average fps, no minimums shown.
@Gibbo
Any chance of a Ryzen bundle (2700) with a 450 Matx board, not going to go for a 3** series board with a new build. Getting itchy an upgrade is overdue.
I'd like to buy one but feel like I'm overpaying after the £150 1700x deals. Any chance of that happening again?
Yeah because we aren't overpaying for Intel... lol. The gouging is so ripe that people are importing their own!You feel like you are overpaying??? Go and buy Intel then..
Ha you know what I mean. If the £150 deal hadn't existed I wouldn't know any better.You feel like you are overpaying??? Go and buy Intel then..
My thoughts too...No x470 bundles?
You could shift more ryzen stock if you claimed there is short supply and whacked the prices up 200%. Seems to be working for Intel and Nvidia stock. Give it a whirl, hell most people have been priced out of PC gaming by now, might as well kill it off completely.
