The Touchpad Android thread

Just put the gapps in the same directory as the update files when you start and it installs fine. Zynga poker didnt work for me, haven't tried a lot as it was late last night when I did it.

Ok, I'm still plagued by a weird problem that I was in the early releases. Can someone check this for me before I raise a bug.

Play a song through the stock music player, without headphones, (although it does it with all my music player apps). Once a song is playing, turn off the screen by pressing the power button, or what for it to time out itself. What happens??

Just an FYI for those wanting to install Android, you don't need the SDK linked in the OP. Android is ported as a mass storage device pushed through the novacom terminal (which you will need). The SDK above is only if you are messing about with WebOS and preware. Won't hurt to have it, just not needed for this specific task.

Can I ask how you got hold of these early releases? Also what was the procedure to install without ACMEInstaller? I'm surprised you never mentioned it at the time as thats quite a coup to have got CM7 on a Touchpad back in August (let alone more releases after!), only a handful of people worldwide had it until yesterday!

My audio comes out of my headphones and speakers simultaneously. Very embarrassing on the tube this morning :)

Is anyone able to test this and see if it is just me or not?

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the TouchDroid "release":

Open a terminal/DOS prompt, go to the directory where you unzipped ACMEInstaller and type the following:
novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller (If novacom isn't in your path then search for it and specify the full path, I didn't need to do that though)

Can you explain this. What would i need to put if i extracted ACMEInstaller to desktop.
