The Touchpad Android thread

Es file explorer and dice player allow me to browse and play media from my shared drives over the network. Such a simple thing but just awesome on a tablet

I've arranged with HP to collect my TouchPad for the USB connection port to be serviced as it's getting dodgy. However, I've just remembered I have Android dual booting on it! Is the only way to get rid of it by charging up the device again and run the uninstaller? Fingers crossed I can get some sort of USB connection even for only 10 minutes.

But I guess they can't tell I have Android on there since it doesn't power on (displays the drained battery icon only) so they would have to fix that connection port first anyways right? And then surely once it's fixed, they can't refuse to send it back to me because I may have voided the warranty by putting Android on there..

My friend sent it to HP for a cracked case fix with android on, they didn't say anything and fixed it.

Hi all, new to this thread just thought I'd pass on my android and HP repair story.

I have a 32gb touchpad and the USB socket got to the point of not charging and had a bent pin. I phoned HP got a RMA. UPS came and collected it next day. As it was flat I couldn't remove android so fully expected it to come back un repaired.

Any way today I got it back fully fixed same serial number so it hadn't be replaced just a straight fix. Also it's got a new case as it breaks when they open it (9/10 times it breaks). The only thing is the memory had been fully wiped back to factory, completely clean. WebOS version 3.0.2. So no warranty issue with it having android on, just expect to loose all data and partition.

As its as new i'll be passing it on in exchange for graphics card tokens. I'm sort of had one done it, what's next.

I don't have acces to the MM or I'd put it on there for you to check out.

Not advertising as such, may be a little, more info on warranty repair for faulty USB port with android installed.

Took the plunge with CM9 - liking it thus far although I've not been able to get the market working - I installed it after CM9 as forgot to include the .zip first time around.

I can't seem to login to either gmail or my google account in general - it sends me the verification codes by text but they fail and it asks to try again later :(

android had been running fine until i decided to install alpha 2 through CWM instead of ACME and now it is rebooting itself every minute, i literally cannot use android at all anymore, it just keeps re-booting, going to re-install with ACME and see if that helps

update: had to do a factory reset of android meaning i lost all my settings and apps and video's, etc.

I've been playing with roms for a little while now, and have found myself triple booting WebOS, CM9v2 and BrickedCM9v0.5. With it defaulting to the Bricked rom...

Any way I can remove Bricked0.5 without touching anything else?
