The Turing RTX 2080 Ti Owners Thread

How does the 2080Ti do at 3440*1440 metro on ultra with DXR on med/high?

Over 60fps?
Same setup as me and usually 60-90 fps from memory with everything cranked up. It's one game where things have improved greatly compared to my old 1080 Ti which used to tank at busy scenes.

I asked some time ago now but wondering if things have changed since. Are there any AIO coolers available that will fit a a Gigabyte 2080ti? I remember when I last asked there were some concerns around the vram not being covered entirely by the coolers available and them getting a little hot.

I think evga are the only ones who make a proper fitting AIO an it only fits on EVGA cards.

If you have to use a NZXT g12 bracket then 1) you won't get direct vrm/memory cooling and 2) it looks fugly

EVGA also make an AIO kit for the Founds Edition/Reference PCB models but getting it is very difficult.

Have one fitted to my EVGA BLACK XC card has a cooling plate so vrm/memory cooled 240 AIO ambient today 24C idle 27C gaming hitting 50C yes its ugly but cheaper than a full loop. I specked a full custom loop but cant justify the price for at most likely be a 10C drop

Has any one tried under volting via curve setting within afterburner to drop temps?

And a commendable trait that is too. Only issue I experienced was louder fans, for obvious reasons, but maybe I've just been lucky.

You're right though, if you're happy with it as is then there's really no point anyway.

So, I flashed it to the 380W Galax bios :-) It is easy to do, as I thought it would be. Everything seems to be working as before just with the increased power limit. YOLO All good :-)

Yes and you can make a HUGE difference if you really wanted.

Think mine did around 1800mhz at something silly like 60% power limit. Total of around 5% performance loss over max overclock 2050mhz.

That was for noise at the time though. Now just ran at 2050mhz and +500 memory as noise is a non issue pc being in another room.

Hahaha. Knew it was just a matter of time.

I think I have reached the limits of the card at about 2100MHz under load. I have fiddled with it as much as I can, I think.

Probably never notice the difference, but it's nice to try and get the most out of the card!

Temps are a limiting factor, even under water.

Gets up to 55c full chat. But my case is all sealed (H700) and doesn't have the best airflow.

So what one is the one to go for right now? Not top end, but can afford a bit more than the blower one. Maybe the Strix?

EDIT: Maybe the gigabyte for the same price for an extra years warranty and looks like OCUK have a decent partnership with...

2100 @ 55C is pretty impressive and I’m sure it does get you a fair few extra FPS.
