I was going to buy a FTW3 2080ti but after seeing some posts about overheating memory on them it put me off..

But then again other brands of 2080 ti no have heat sensors on the memory of what i know of

Yes i bought the ROG
But my Rog 2080ti runs far hotter then the ones i seen reviewed that show only around 62c to 65c underload ( But this could be due to the airflow in my FT02 case)
Am pleased my ROG has Samsung memory :) This was just about the first thing i checked after installing it was if it was Samsung memory or not


I myself was going back & forward for many days trying to choose which one to buy between the ROG or FTW3

Ive had the FTW and it ran at about 70c or so under load.

The ftw3 was a good card but really needs good airflow or it struggles (with door on my old lian Li memory temps were getting to 90c+ on the side facing the door due to poor air gap). Hense me returning and just getting a ref with waterblock turned out same price.

Even though it had a huge 3 fan cooler I didn’t find it all that quiet (fans at around 1300rpm under load) and it has a bit of a love or hate design IMO. The rog is a very nice looking card so I think you made the right decision.

Came across that last night on an eBay listing, a 2080ti pulled from a hp z4 workstation. Surprised at how basic looking it is even vs other blower coolers.

Just out of idle curiosity, how much was it going for?

Wouldn’t want a blower myself but if it’s cheap it would be worth a punt for someone.
