The Valentines Day Menu Thread!

I've sneakily taken the day off work to prepare a meal for this evening. We don't normally do anything on Valentines day, but go out a few days before or after. I really don't like they way most restaurants do a set menu that's more limited and more expensive than their normal one. Anyway, my menu:

A glass or two of Champagne, then..

Nibbles
Crispy quail's eggs with a herb aioli dip.

Starters
Scallops and chorizo on a pea purée.

Main
Fillet steak, wholegrain mustard mash, braised carrots, and a shallot and red wine sauce.

Dessert
Chocolate delice, with lime ice cream and coconut powder.

Nothing exciting here.

Probably some homeade cajan spiced chicken/homemade potato wedges or something. When you have 2 kids, a wife who works till 6pm etc - posh/romatic meals aren't the priority!! haha

We're not doing all that this year, but I am cooking for her, so I suppose she still wins. Unsure what I will be doing as it's not tonight as I'm out and she's out with different folk, so will be next week sometime.

Starter is a gym session.
Main is Bunny Chow (South African dish for those that don't know)
dessert is her.
