Ugh...i've had the misfortune of watching the first episode of The Vampire Diaries at a mates house. It's like Twilight meets Dawson Creek...I feel like banging my head against a wall just to forget it...utter rubbish :(
 
The title just screams Twilight rip off, I didn't even bother watching it. This and Twilight is giving vampires a bad name :(

Already been renewed for a second series as well :rolleyes:

I miss Moonlight
 
I was looking at the Wiki for True Blood and somehow found my way to the IMDb page for this series but didn't give it a second thought!

I'd also agree that things like Moonlight really should have been given more of a chance compared to rubbish like this show seems to be :(



OT: Was watching the last two episodes for season one of TB and there was a moment when Sookie says she's going to get a private investigator in to help - my first thoughts immediately jumped to Mick St. John :p :D
 
Moonlight is pretty good... but they just ended it randomly.

Then again it isn't the first and certainly not the last show something like that has happened with. TO say I am bitter about the way Terminator ended is an understatement.
 
I never watch Twilight or Dawson's creek....

Me and the wife started watching this, must say really enjoying it. Each to their own and all that. For me it has a really watchable feel about it and the story line is really picking up now. My misses isn't really in to series but she constantly nags me to watch it!

However the series i always watch are:

Stargate
The Unit (hence the clan name)

Xfiles
Reaper

The missus started recording this when it was advertised. I have to admit that initially it didn't grab me, however:

I totally agree here. The story is just getting going after ages of character introducing and boring 'dark' vampire eats person moments. Although i do admit that True blood seems to have a better storyline from the outset.
 
Me and the wife watched the first series of this, she thought it was great i was a little bit meh.

Dont get me wrong, its not as bad as some people make out, there are some cool characters in there but it is a bit same old same old.

There are hotties, there are incredibly handsome chaps and there are vampires (Good and bad)...its a bit of light entertainment.

Its no True Blood, but true blood got a little bit boring too toward the back end of the second series (Marianne storyline too long?)
 
True blood is awesome really enjoyed it :)

Vamp diaries on the other hand... I thought it might be good. So I watched the first episode and hated it. So I have not watched another ep since :p
 
Yet another teenie pretty boy vampire love story , yuk :rolleyes:

I always thought vampires were supposed to be bad people and killed in various gruesome ways :D
