The Vampire Diaries...avoid!

Right after everyone saying this got better, I went back, watched the rest of the season up to date and frankly, it's god awful, it doesn't get better, you all have bad taste :P

Can't have been that awful if you watched 14 odd episodes before realising lol.

I kept thinking maybe it'll get better next episode, maybe there is something that hooked people to this turd that I haven't seen yet but nope, it's utter garbage, i was right with my first opinion from the first episode!
 
See I think they storyline is improving with each episode, rather than getting worse. I'll fully admit that it was pretty slow and did think it wasn't going to get any better. Although True Blood is pretty much the best show out their atm.
 
WOW, half way thro and i am totally addicted to it!

Its by far the best vampire series I’ve ever seen… it started off slow, but after the 4th ep I was HOOKED!!!

Both meand the wife cant wait to get home 2nite and watch it!

:/ It's not that good, not that good at all. True Blood owns it in every way...except perhaps the number of hotties.
 
Vampire Diaries is a brilliant series, much better than that pap Twilight. Its even got the edge on True Blood.

I am not sure what modern series I am enjoying more at the moment; Vampire Diaries, Chuck or Castle.

Rather disagree with that all, yes some series pick up a LOT after the first ep, Parks and Recreation and The office, the us version, both first eps are painful, bordering on cringeworthy and irksome, the second ep for both were infinately better and together are some of the best comedys ever, let alone the ones around at the moment.

However, I know that no matter how much Jedwood improve, I'll hate them no matter what, vampire Diaries improved, but was so bad to start with its still utter tripe. I'm watching it when nothing else is on, as I watch a lot of crap tv in the background of doing work just for the sake of it. But its poo, everything in it is poo, the acting is awful, script cringeworthy, story is embarassingly poor and predictable and the show doesn't offer anything remotely original at all.

I'm sure I read something about it that its like, from the same series of books as Twilight,but earlier, or later in the series or something, hence the same feel, based on the same stuff.

Main chick and several others in it are hot though, if there was the same level of nudity at True Blood, I'd watch it just to see the main chicks get their bits out, sans nudity, its not remotely worth watching.

True Blood...well written, check! Funny, check! Characterisation, check! Hot chicks, check! Lots of sex, check! Interesting and engaging story, check!

Vampire Diaries...Hot Chicks, check!...oh...that's it ;)

Honestly though, each to their own, millions of people watch Stargate & CSI which I find utterly boring, so there must be something there. I give VD a 2 maybe 3 season run before the vampire fad wears off. However True Blood has so much more to it it'll be around far longer.

Stargate best series ever written. Peoples tastes can be so different its nuts!

But i will give true blood a go!

Might start a little war here, but just in the sci-fi genre alone Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica are leagues ahead of SG. Outside of sci-fi straight off the bat you've got Band Of Brothers, The Wire, Lost...to name just 3 :D
 
Vamp Diaries is good, but not even remotely near a decent series vs Buffy, True Blood or Angel. So far the storyline is being padded out so much that it resembles the latest Smallville season.
 
I have watched all the Vampire diaries this season (presuming this is its 1st year) and it is pretty slow

having never seen True Blood before untill a couple of weeks ago
I must say True Blood is a much better program and am really looking forward to the next installment - That new waitress sure is one hot 'mama' LOL

but I feel that V/Diaries is plodding along too slowly

was season one of true blood as good as this years season???

Are you kidding? that stuff is for kid's. I've watched BG and B5 what a pile of horse *****.... SG1 bring it real imo !!!
