Is the wire gauge or diameter stated on the packet/spool?

Nope, in fact I ordered 3 spools...

1x 26awg kanthal
1x 28awg kanthal
1x 28awg ni200

all three spools arrived lose in a jiffy bag with no markings on any of them, the 26th was easy to spot but took a while to figure out which was the ni200 from the two remaining spools..

just made a dual coil with the ni200, 4 wraps around a 3 mm tool each and it's coming in at about 0.12ohms... that's not right for 28awg,?

Is that the reading off the DNA40 chip? Have you tried the build on a resistance tester/ohm meter?

I use the Magic flight launch box but it's pretty harsh. Anyone know anything I can do to make it less so? I used the provided 15cm whip which made no difference.

Tbh I'm also getting towards the end of my vaping, can't be arsed with it anymore.

Building coils, wicking messing around etc etc - gonna give it till jan/feb and stop I think.

That sounds fair enough, if it has got you off the smokes, mission accomplished! :)

guys i've watched a review on the nautilus mini and there were concerns about the ceramic fibre cloth wicking material, anyone here know much about this stuff?

I wouldn't worry about that, just make sure there is always juice in tank to keep the wicking material wet, you shouldn't have an issue. The Nautilus is a wildly popular device, if there was a concern it would be known by now I should think. :)

That's on my ohm reader and the dna... 0.1ohm now I've let the atty sit for 15 minutes off the mod...
The mod now sees it as 0.1ohm....

that's 2 coils, both 4.5 wraps around a 3 mm tool...?

I have no experience with nickel coils but I think that might be about right, according to steam engine coil calc, a 0.1 single nickel coil is 7 wraps around a 3mm tool, so according to that dual coil would be 3.5 wraps each which I would say is very close to what you have if you give a margin of error to the calculator. :)

New atty - the Aqua V2

Wow this is a seriously good RBA. The flavour is amazing in this. Currently vaping Queens custard in it and its never tasted so good!

Got it rigged up in dual coil mode so she is kicking out the clouds too!

The build quality is very good both inside and out. And she looks so sexy too!

Air flow is also very good ranging from nice and airy to tight as you like. You can adjust it on the fly very easy.

Another nice touch is you can use this in RDA mode too, so its like getting two devices in one.

The Aqua V2 is a very good bit of kit. Gets two thumbs up from me!

:)

Well the optimal ohm for an ni200 coil on the dna40 is .1 ohm, so i was aiming for .11, but from reading around, room temp affects ni200 resistance, so as my room temp changes, so does the coils res, however, it still looks like I have 32awg instead of the 28awg i ordered.
I'm not worried about it, but was just wanting to check my math as I'm not very good at it... but steam engine and microcoilplus seam to agree, give or take a wrap.

Might just stick to good old kanthal, so much quicker and easier...

Sounds like an awesome device mate, she's looking mighty fine too. :D

Glad you are enjoying it! :)

I think you are right mate, 30 or 32 gauge wire it looks like.

Kanthal will stop you from using the temp control feature will it not?

Todds got the sneak peak of the mvp2 up. 20w,dosnt fire under 0.9ohms and is basically in the same case as the mvp2 with the same battery in it. I think Ive outgrown it by now but it will be good for some.
