Rogues Gallery :)

Cheers all

Very nice indeed, I am loving the stubby Squape! :D

Really like the look of the Squape especially with the brass afc ring.

I would try the clone but really can't tell/trust what non conductive material was used as it looks nothing like the original.

Is it worth the £119 asking price?

The original uses ematal coating which is a form of ceramic, most of the clones seem to use some sort of anodising, I am not sure of the health implications of this.

The clones were also suffering from very unstable resistance readings, although this has most likely been fixed by now.

£119 is rather steep, does that include the wide and curved decks or just the standard?

Been naughty tonight, 16 months a vaper, not touched one cigarette since, had one drag of a cigarette, the most dirtiest horrible tasting thing ever. Thank god for Anything vape related, I wont actually criticize a badly made coil that iv made if it fouls after a few hrs and I have to rebuild it, because at the end of the day, well, iv no idea how I used to smoke to be honest. Disgusting!! .. And I feel bad for having one drag of a cig after 16 months, I feel like the whole quitting thing is kinda at a end if that makes sense iv broken the whole quitting thing, but with 100x more force, the dirty taste I got from it and none of the pleasures that I got from vaping, honest to god, id never go back. so the 16 months record for me still stands. it was a drunken blip but it was a reminder of how horrible cigarettes are! (sorry to anyone who vapes and socially smokes) but I couldn't do that, vape is the future :)

(P.S took 10 mins to write this, bit .. meh :D )

You're not wrong there Ice, I had a drag on a stinky about a month in to my vaping and it tasted so foul I honestly couldn't believe that I was previously demolishing a 20 pack a day. Never looked back after that! :)

I must admit; I am a shopaholic and this is certainly not the "best" hobby to have when your a shopaholic as there's so many mods, attys, liquids and gizmos.. But it's actually saving me money (not this month as its Christmas :D)

While before it was fact that I would be spending x amount on cigs for the week, I would spend my spare time looking up stuff and buying stuff for my other hobbies. So I was spend like £200 pounds on video games a month as well as the £150 odd on cigs. Now I found myself looking up stuff on vaping and just buying that; which I would be spending on cigs anyway.

I wish I had better vape budget hands.. And yes I need counseling; I see it and I want it... It's so pretty!

I have had to restrain myself for a while, I would love a DNA40 Vapor Flask but I will have to put that on hold for now. It is very easy to carried away in this hobby! :)

Yeah, I had a moment's weakness the other day when I'd not brought anything out with me and ended up poncing a rollie. Could only get halfway before chucking it because it tasted like ****.

Can anyone spec my mum a reliable, non-rebuildable tank atty to get her started? I did give/lend her my KFL, but she managed to find a way to flood the bloody thing

Even the smell of smoke is rather disgusting now to me, I would never tell a smoker that though as I smelt the same before I started vaping.

Would the Aspire Nautilus or the Silo tank be good for you're mum?

Reckon the Nautilus Mini might be the one. I'd go for the standard Nautilus, but I reckon it might be a bit big seeing as she'll probably end up with an istick. The MVP is a bit unwieldy for her for some reason... She's an odd one tbh :D

Nautilus mini with the istick sounds like a winning combo to me, should provide a very nice experience for the relatively small size. :)

Think I'm approaching the end of my vaping journey it's a bit :( as well as :)

Am finding more and more I simply can't be arsed to recoil anything nor make my own juices, and am down to 3mg nic so the next transition will be 0mg, and then hopefully kicking the habit for once and all. New shinies just aren't doing it for me anymore.

Have a ton of decent gear to flog, hoping I can crawl some money back and pick up a new hobby!

If you are reaching the end of your vaping journey and are free from cigarettes then more power to you! :D

If you start selling your gear, it might be worth hanging on to one tank, battery/mod and a small amount of juice for a while until you are sure the cravings will not return. :)

Been an expensive week for me while I was off work:

Bought the following:
Big Dripper V2 (Clone)
Eleaf Lemo (Original)
Istick (Original)
Zero DNA 30 (Clone)

Had a Vaporshark RDNA40 on pre order but changed it and now have a nice new Hana Modz DNA40 instead.

I have managed to build my first NI200 single coil (about 0.18ohm), in my Veritas, using pure cotton, but still got burnt hits while testing, after testing found my cotton actually ignites at 210F so the 420F I had set the Hana too was useless... set the limit to 200F and got no vapor at all... so now im looking to find what is the best wicking material to use for DNA40 in Temp mode?

I hear Jap cotton, Rayon, Silica...?? up till now ive been using cotton balls bought from the pound shop lol

Nice haul of goodies you got on the go. :D
I have not used a DNA40 but silica is very temp resistant but not the most efficient form of wick. Rayon/cellucotton might be worth a try mate. Experimentation is the only true way to find what works best for you. :)

Hi,
Wondering if you could help me out as basically i made a fast tech order on the 26/11 and was shipped on 27/11 via singapore post. I have still not received anything at it still shows the same thing when being tracked. Tracking number is RP305199290SG
Thanks in advance.

Hi Flex. That look pretty normal to me mate, I would expect things to have slowed down a bit with the lead up to Christmas. I would expect your items to arrived within the next 7 days if UK customs don't hang around. :)

Starting think I might have been sent the wrong awg for my ni200.. I did a coil last night on another RDA, worked out the approx length required to get a 0.12ohm coil, it came out 0.25ohm, having worked out the number of wraps on the 2.5mm rod, looks like the 28AWG might actually be 32AWG... I used 4", 28AWG ni200 is supposed to be 0.3778 ohms per ft... so that works out as 0.18ohm for 6".... or is my math that bad?

Is the wire gauge or diameter stated on the packet/spool?

Nope, in fact I ordered 3 spools...

1x 26awg kanthal
1x 28awg kanthal
1x 28awg ni200

all three spools arrived lose in a jiffy bag with no markings on any of them, the 26th was easy to spot but took a while to figure out which was the ni200 from the two remaining spools..

just made a dual coil with the ni200, 4 wraps around a 3 mm tool each and it's coming in at about 0.12ohms... that's not right for 28awg,?

Is that the reading off the DNA40 chip? Have you tried the build on a resistance tester/ohm meter?

Tbh I'm also getting towards the end of my vaping, can't be arsed with it anymore.

Building coils, wicking messing around etc etc - gonna give it till jan/feb and stop I think.

That sounds fair enough, if it has got you off the smokes, mission accomplished! :)

guys i've watched a review on the nautilus mini and there were concerns about the ceramic fibre cloth wicking material, anyone here know much about this stuff?

I wouldn't worry about that, just make sure there is always juice in tank to keep the wicking material wet, you shouldn't have an issue. The Nautilus is a wildly popular device, if there was a concern it would be known by now I should think. :)

That's on my ohm reader and the dna... 0.1ohm now I've let the atty sit for 15 minutes off the mod...
The mod now sees it as 0.1ohm....

that's 2 coils, both 4.5 wraps around a 3 mm tool...?

I have no experience with nickel coils but I think that might be about right, according to steam engine coil calc, a 0.1 single nickel coil is 7 wraps around a 3mm tool, so according to that dual coil would be 3.5 wraps each which I would say is very close to what you have if you give a margin of error to the calculator. :)

New atty - the Aqua V2

Wow this is a seriously good RBA. The flavour is amazing in this. Currently vaping Queens custard in it and its never tasted so good!

Got it rigged up in dual coil mode so she is kicking out the clouds too!

The build quality is very good both inside and out. And she looks so sexy too!

Air flow is also very good ranging from nice and airy to tight as you like. You can adjust it on the fly very easy.

Another nice touch is you can use this in RDA mode too, so its like getting two devices in one.

The Aqua V2 is a very good bit of kit. Gets two thumbs up from me!

:)

Sounds like an awesome device mate, she's looking mighty fine too. :D

Glad you are enjoying it! :)

Well the optimal ohm for an ni200 coil on the dna40 is .1 ohm, so i was aiming for .11, but from reading around, room temp affects ni200 resistance, so as my room temp changes, so does the coils res, however, it still looks like I have 32awg instead of the 28awg i ordered.
I'm not worried about it, but was just wanting to check my math as I'm not very good at it... but steam engine and microcoilplus seam to agree, give or take a wrap.

Might just stick to good old kanthal, so much quicker and easier...

I think you are right mate, 30 or 32 gauge wire it looks like.

Kanthal will stop you from using the temp control feature will it not?

Hmm there is 3 KF v4's on FastTech that all look very similar. The cheap one and the most expensive one look almost identical. Then there is a mid priced one (with black O-rings) that seems to come with more spares.

I wonder which one is the best?

hehe aye, ill compare it to my £25 kayfun 3.1 clone that I got a month ago. when my kayfun 3.1 works its great, but then all of a sudden youll get a dry hit or a flood or something, and its a pain in the *** to drain it and figure out whats wrong with it.

Hopefully the kayfun 4 will be better, because you easily just fill from the top and you can access the coils any time :) looking forward to it.

It does seem to be a vast improvement over its predecessors that's for sure, I hope it has a looser draw also as that was my biggest issue with the Kayfuns. :)
