Yeah ive only recently started messing with SS, i first got a taste for it with the Uwell Crown coils and that prompted me to get a spool to build my own coils as i hate coil heads.
Got my 25awg 317L at Vapefest last month, so far ive build mainly spaced but like Rilot, have done contact for certain tanks due to space but i still like my TI, i use spaced SS in the Crius tanks and dual twisted 26awg TI in my aromamizers, but i may buy thinner SS so i can start putting twisted SS coils in the aromamizers too, but ive a massive spool of TI to go through, then again ive got loads of Kanthal and NI i have not touched in ages lol

I've got so much wire it's unreal. I'll never use it all.
Just sat at my desk now I can see Kanthal in gauges 30 through to 24 with everything in between. Pre-made clapton wire in at least 4 gauges. Titanium in gauges 28, 26, 24, and dual 30 twisted. 304, 316, and 430 stainless steel in various gauges. NI200 in 30, 28 and 26 gauges as well as various twisted gauges.

I probably better dump some of it.

Sorry to 'dumb-down' the conversation here, but hoping for some help to purchase my first variable voltage kit. Been off the ciggies for 13 months using a cheap starter kit that is now starting to fail. I did check the links on the first page of this thread but think some are maybe out of date now?

So I would like to keep my spend to about £50ish. My priority is ease of use / battery life / running costs. Biggest frustration is the 'wick?' keeps burning out now on my starter kit and makes my juice taste cr@p...

Any recommendations on either a specific mod and/or brand? Seems to be a lot of mods around the £35 mark leaving me enough for the tank too. The Sigelei 50W VR2 Box Mod is down from £60 to £40 - is that a good buy? Lastly, are all these mods compatible with the recommended Beyond Vape Silo Tank?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

I would go for the eVic VTC Mini and a battery as a good starter mod. It's nicely built and have the capability to do temperature control as well as variable power.
Any mod will work with the Beyond Vape Silo (which is still my recommended mouth to lung tank).

I wouldn't mind some of your kanthal between 26 and 28 as I only have 32 awg :p

My Cigreen order arrived this morning... Reuleaux DNA200 No2 plus 6 Sammy 30q cells :)
And even better there was a note inside the box to say they had carried out the ribbon fix for me... great job.

Ugh, hotcig died. Took a vape, went for another, and it's just gone. No response using different batteries, no response in device manager or escribe, dead. Contacted Evolv since it seems to me like a board issue, will have to see what they say. In the meantime, picked up an RX200 as an early birthday prezzie :D TC doesn't work anywhere near as well, but I can just use my SS coils in power mode. Depending on what evolv say I may end up dropping the DNA200 board in it as well.

317l ss wire has been despatched :)

Just been looking at the Jaybo Indestructible RDA complete with airflow kit & updated centre post, seriously tempted :)

Cheers all

I ordered an authentic one from gearbest last week, only cost £13.50 or something, UK retailers selling them for about £25.

Happy to wait and something to look forward to ;)

Rebuilt the Lemo 2 with a 0.5 ohm coil and jen do (whatever) cotton and 2 tanks later it still has nothing on the COV Vengeance tank.

New plan, Sigeili are bringing out the 75w plus which I will get one of them and maybe a tank with tc coils later on.

Yeah going to have to dumb down too - can someone check my math :o

This calculator can't be right.

My target : 0.5 ohm / dual coil / 24 AWG wrapped around a 3mm peg
What this is saying is that I need 11 wraps per coil. Does that sound about right ?

http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?s=dp&r=0.5&awg=24&id=3

If that is right then I'm going to go with 7 wraps per coil with a target of around 0.35-0.4 ohms

You have to remember with Dual coil that each individual coil needs to be double the ohms you want from the two coils together, so to get .5 you would need 2x 1ohms coils :)

Thanks Rilot, theres just so many damn options now its crazy! Sorry I meant variable temp rather than power, but guess it's similar function. Thanks for your help, I'll get one ordered this morning. Happy Christmas :D

Anyone tried the nebox? Looks like a nice pocket friendly answer to an ADV device.

Seriously considering selling my Reuleaux DNA200, I just don't use it enough! It's left the house once (to show a friend who lives on the road next to me), as I live in constant danger about dropping/damaging it :p

Tried the nebox a few weeks ago, only thing that put me off it was, the tank is not glass in the mod :(

Cheers all

Ive tried the Nebox, i was not impressed, found the vape a bit lacking in flavour..
I dropped mine off the scanner table in hospital a few weeks ago, the only damage done... cracked the hospital floor tile LOL

my velocity decks for the crius have arrived. It's just a damn shame that I am hopeless at making clapton coils. :(

Twisted it is then :p Hopefully 30mm diameter will fit.
