How much is it going for?

The wicking on the Verticals was very restrictive of the airflow and harsh flavour, so ive rewicked as though it were a coil head, much better airflow and smoother flavour...

Was a bit tight getting the deck in to the tank, but got it in the end..

...

£100 between mates.. it was own previously by one of the plume of hazard boys, my mate got it in a trade and had it for a week.. it's not for him.. lol

If your after a velocity nows the time as supplies will soon stop for the authentic.

Hmm, seen it on a site for $115 so thats £78, £100 seams a bit high but cant find a UK site with stock or prices to compare, the last Genuine High end tank i bought was a £125 Taifun GT-2, it sucked lol so reluctant to spend that much on a Genuine dripper.

Thanks Tweak for the advice :) I'm still considering buying the Aromamiser RDA, the Hex because it has anti spitback which is meant to work pretty well, like 99% prevention. I beleive this is genuine not a clone.

It's also meant to be a flavour chaser more than a cloud chaser.

I got the authentic velocity running 0.4 ohm in a dual clapton setup.. just pull as much cotton has possible.. you don't need to have much cotton on the deck.

It's worth testing how good the clone is by closing down the air flow completely then sucking on it, don't fire it.. it should basically feel like it is.. closed off... I've tested a few 1:1 clones and I can still get a full airly pull when it's shut off..

Just been offered a 2nd Velocity.. :)

I just tested my Tobeco. The Tobeco is meant to be the best of the clones. Hmm, well, with it all closed off, it does feel closed although I can still pull through it, albeit incredibly tight, certainly not airy and certainly not useable closed off like that I don't think.

Just stuck a 2mm triple twisted 26 gauge single coil in the aromamiser, placed in the centre of the posts and vertical, with 2 very loose tails of cotton coming out the bottom.

The vapour coming out this thing is unreal and tastes fantastic. Would recommend, tried to take a photo but even the 6S plus is having problems focusing :S

This is with the 3ml top cap on with no drip tip.

I'd passed on it.. I can't see a reason why I would ever need two velocities..
two ubertoots maybe.. ;) lol

I may buy a genuine velocity at some point as i found my clone an enjoyable vape I want try a VG Mini and a toot as well.

But for they can wait for now the Squape has scratched my shinyitis itch for a while

Turn on HDR, i find that helps with close shots, would love to see it.

Vivid vapes is the only uk reseller and they did them for £120 pounds plus delivery

Hardcore vapes has them for 115 euros but then you have to pay for delivery again..

Avid does sell them for 115 dollars but you will have to pay tax duties and delivery.. also it helps that they make the atty too..

But yeah the velocity is about the most expensive dripper there is.. a high end atty is normally about £75 pounds.

Hey guys, general vaping question. This is probably unique to me and you probably all get amazing vapes all day long, you lucky things. :p

Do any of you find that after several hits, you develop a bit of a nasty chemical/bitter taste in your throat? I get this, though it's not as bad with VG heavy as with PG heavy. Drinking water helps a bit. I'm wondering if it's a film of VG, flavour or PG that builds up on the throat. While I'm steeping some DIY juices, I've been vaping Triphammer Apple Turnover today in the TFV4 around 25 to 30w. I don't know whether if I went for very high wattage, ie, buying a new mod where I can vape at 80 to 100w, whether it would vapourise liquid so efficiently that perhaps it wouldn't condense on my throat, if that's what's happening.

I dont really drip much these days, i have a Marquis clone that i use for testing new flavours as its such a good flavour atty, but mostly use tanks now, between the Aromamizer and the OBS Crius im a happy vaper, in fact the Crius with the verticals is overpowering on the flavour...

Merlin, heavy PG gives me a dry sometime sore throat but the only time ive had a chemical taste in my throat was vaping Ni200 coils in TC mode, hence why i switched to Titanium and now Stainless Steel wire.

Interesting. This pre built RBA coil in the TFV4 I'm guessing is kanthal. I don't know whether that has any adverse affect on me, but I'll rebuild with my Stainless Steel.

That vertical build is proving to be some job, at 70w now, still not hitting TC limit and it seams to be drinking less juice than a normal build...

Hows the flavor/fog with it? Better then horizontal?

Looks a thousand times better then my failed crius vertical build :)

Cheers :)
The flavour is intense m8 and at 70w the clouds are dense and thick enough, just as good as the normal dual coils... ive never used this juice before, but i cant imagine it being any better on Anything, its really strong.

With a bit of luck my wire order should be here tomorrow/tuesday so I'll give your vertical coil method a blast when it arrives.

Did you find it easier to remove the coils to wick them or just pull them through and split on the deck?

I didnt think about wicking till id built and fitted the coils and tried the wick through the coils lol so i pulled out the rayon and i got my jap cotton, cut it length wise, about 8mm wide and 2.5" long.. ish.
Then i cut that into three pieces, two that were just long enough to fold from over one juice well to the other around outside of the coil, the third piece i folded in half and stuffed into the gap between the two posts and coils, then trimmed the top off so it was flush with the coils and posts.

I think thats why its taking so much power, there is so much wick surrounding the coils they are always wet.

Vertical coils are the way forward :D Got dual verticals in my Doge v2 and Zephyrus now. It's taken two titanium builds, two horizontal kanthal builds and one vertical kanthal build for me to get the build right in the Zephyrus. But now, it's vaping nicely :)

To be honest, im not sold on them in the Aromamizer, i found it gave a weaker flavour than horizontals, i think because the airflow hits the sides of the coils and the wick is inside each coil, this Crius build is far better because the wick is all around the coils and the airflow is passing through the centre of the coils straight up to the mouth piece.

I've not tried verticals in my Aromamizer yet but I feel the airflow in the Aromamizer isn't really for them. Like a lot of atties have airflow under the coil and I could see it working for verticals but maybe my logic is flawed, I'm hardly an experienced vaper (which is weird since I'm likely one of the longest vapers in this thread, been vaping for over 5 years now)
