I was working on most flavourings being at around the 20% so went a bit low to begin with.

Glad I bought premix now, could have got Nic poisoning by now if I had tried it myself.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...

Hmmmm, I suppose that is why the CAP honeydew melon I made last week is the vaping equivalent of drinking neat cordial...seriously, I'm frightened of opening the bottle.

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/flavors is a good site for finding recommended percentages for concentrates (just search for the concentrate you're using).

For example, here is Honeydew Melon (CAP).

I use this when I'm making new blends, or I have a look through other recipes and get a general idea on to use it at.

Vaping Underground is also a very good resources for recipes.

Can anyone recommend which 18650 batteries and charger would be best to go with a VTC Mini?

Ive only ever used mods with inbuilt batteries previously.

I've been looking on here as its where I normally order from: https://www.ukecigstore.com/accessories/batteries/mod-batteries/18650.html

The VTC Mini supports 1A charging providing you have a power supply that will deliver that amount.

Battery wise; Samsung 30Q or LG HG2 will work great.
Charger wise; Xtar VC2 Plus Master can be found on Amazon for about £20. You will need a mains to usb charger that will supply 2.4A though if you want to charge both slots at 1A. A decent mobile phone charger should support this but I'm sure Amazon sell them for about a fiver.

If you don't mind waiting (about 9-12 days), I can recommend the Opus BT-3100 v2.2. Mine arrived the other week and it's a really nice charger indeed, tons of features and supports 2A charging on 2 slots and 4x1A charging. Benefit of this charger also is that it's powered by mains.

You can also get your batteries from Fasttech and save yourself a fair bit. (LG HG2 & Samsung 30Q) but you'd be waiting about 2 weeks for them to arrive, as they ship via Sweden Post.

If you don't want to wait, Ecolux on eBay is my go-to store.

E: In b4 "Fasttech rewrap batteries etc. Zzzz."

Thanks that is really helpful! No rush so I'll order from FT - Ordered the VTC from Gearbest and Im still waiting for it to be dispatched anyway.

Edit - Protected or Unprotected - Does this make any difference?

For the VTC Mini you want unprotected. Protected have some circuitry inside them to stop them from over-discharging and potentially venting (BAD!) - they're also a bit longer so they wouldn't fit anyway.

If you're ordering the charger, choose 'China Post' as the shipping method - quickest delivery I had was 5 days, longest was about 9.

The batteries will ship by Sweden Post by default, but I believe my last order took 12 days in total.

Thanks again - info is much appreciated :)

I ordered my last 30Qs from Torchy on Ebay.

Gee, Thanks for the help/heads up...just been having a mess with the eliquid recipes.com site and added all my ingredients to "my flavours".
Seems a good site and will no doubt get me back on track with some sensible recipes.

As far as chargers go, is there anything wrong with the little xtar mc2, again available from Torchy but probably cheaper elsewhere.

I'd probably pay the extra and get say the Nitecore D2 from Myepack (link).

The MC2 still requires a Mains to USB adapter. D2 is mains powered.

Get on that can do mulitple amps... most chargers will automatically switch amps depending on the state of the battery, but most batteries are rated for 1 amp charging now a days, and charaging once in a while at 2amp wont hurt the battery if your in a rush.

I have the efan x4, it charge all four batteries at 1 amp at once or upto 2 batteries at 2 amp, got it for less that £20 pounds delivered.

for the real bad boy of battery charages the skyrc MC3000 will charge all four at 2amp and support batteries with different chems at the same time.

Of the Samsung 30Q's / LG HG2's which would you guys prefer?

I see torchy has 30Q's but no HG2's, batterywizard have HG2's at 12.89 a pair delivered. Torchy's 30Q's have a case with them and are 1.10 more a pair.

from my experience the the 30Qs are better for higher amp vaping than the HG2s... so if you ran both at the high amp the 30Qs will last longer.. but if it's a lower amp, the HG2s tend to last longer..

cheers slinx, I vape at 40W 95% of the time, will try out some HG2's :D

Currently on 25R's, have been great batteries but change is always nice.

I picked some 30Q's from Torchy which seem spot on so far! Usually use Samsung 25R's... Not sure if it's placeboo effect or just cause they are new but slightly quicker ramp up time I noticed too.

I got a new driptip on the way from Garry Dibley..

Here's the video of it being made..

Here's the finish article..
