After not buying anything for some time I went a bit mental last night and bought a Hurricane 1.2 and a Sunbox E7 monster with the Origen v2. £250 went sharpish but Ive got the bug now and I'm looking for a Tilemahos and a mod

On the Mod tab in Escribe, is it set to 3-Cell Lithium Polymer?

Ive just plugged in one of mine, with No batteries installed and its reading:

Pack 4.79V
Cell 1: 2.58V
Cell 2: 0.05V
Cell 3: 2.21V

So dont go by that, it what it sees when you have Cells installed, and if it not registering either the sled wiring is broken/faulty, or that cells are not making good contact.

Yup - set to 3 Cell Lithium Polymer, the mod has been working fine although sitting unused for the last 2 weeks or so as I'd been using others.

With batteries in it powers on with a very dim screen and says "Warranty Service" as soon as plugged into USB it lights up normally but won't fire - just says "Check Battery"

Dismantled and had a look inside - connections look fine.

So far tried 3 x VTC 5, 3 x 25R, 3 x LG Red - all same issue.

When I modded my RX200 to put in the DNA200, I wanted to test it before putting it all back together, and that's what I was getting. After a little freaking out, I realised there is a brass tab that sticks out of the negative of the back left battery and the screw goes through to ground it to the board. Once I'd screwed it together, it fixed that issue.

When looking at the mod from the battery door side, try tightening the upper left screw inside the battery compartment. If that doesn't fix it, try tightening the others, specifically the two on the middle and bottom right I think. If that doesn't work, it's likely a solder connection from one of the batteries. I'd offer to take a look but I don't trust myself, so what I'd do is contact for a warranty repair or replacement, and if all else fails, contact someone who builds custom mods, unless your soldering is pretty good.

Edit: Just saw the last post, make sure the negative wire going from board to 510 isn't blocking that brass tab, I had to do a fair bit of finagling to leave enough space for the tab and screw.

The brass tab is attached properly and screwed in tight.

I think I'll have to disassemble it fully again tomorrow and see what I can find.

If batteries are in it's turning on fine now, but only stays on if I hold the fire button down (I reset to default settings). Hopefully I can find the problem tomorrow

Looks like it isn't reading atomizer resistance either, not in device monitor or on the screen - so something isn't right. Unfortunately here getting it done under warranty will be difficult unless I can return it to Wismec themselves.

Yep, exactly the same fault, it's a broken connection to ground somewhere or between the batteries, there's also the four balance cable connections, but they're held secure enough. My bet is on the brass springed nubs that hold the batteries. In any case the board is fine so a repair will be fairly reasonable. If you've not had it long wouldn't hurt to try [email protected], maybe [email protected].

edit: Just noticed Kuala Lumpur, makes it a bit tougher!

Got any pics of your work? Interested.

'Fraid not, but the mechanics of how it works are simple enough once you get the bits apart. It's not the best job since I haven't touched a soldering iron since school, but I rewired the battery sled with thicker wire, plus the DNA board has 2 more balance wires, so my battery sled sticks out a bit and is stuffed precariously. I might muster up and post it :)

This is very helpful, tells you wiring gauges: http://www.evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna200.pdf
The balance connections you can see are ground, 1, 2, 3, in order, follow the path in the battery sled from the last negative.

Job went pretty well in the end, I took it with caution up to 200W, no problem, runs a fair bit cooler than my RX200 did too! Measured internal resistance at about 0.008 I think, so not far off the manufactured DNA I don't think. Dropped it too and fine. My screen went monday though, ribbon was a bit bent it would only work when outside the mod. Got a new one off Creme de vape.

Vcmt update;

Having a lot of trouble getting the equilibrium between leaking and good vaping.

Less wick it vapes lovely, but loses as much juice to leaking as vaping.

More wick it still leaks but only during filling, once its got negative pressure its all right, but the vape is dry and horrible.

The deck needs looked at methinks
Had my VCMT for a few months now(30mm) & i can get wicking right most of the time.
How i do it is to wick it snug with the tails over long , gently brush the tails to straighten cotton , have the wicking ring so the opening is @ the bottom next to deck.Cut the wicks so they do not show in the wicking openings when tucked in to the wicking channels.Juice the wicks & fire it up whilst blowing on the coils, wicks should start to swell/open up , it may take a couple of re-juicings to accomplish.
Refit chamber tightly(keep wick slots fully open).Fill tank with airflow shut but only about 1/2 full.Vape away & then refill after you have emptied tank almost completely , seems to work for me & a couple of guys in the vape shop.
Note i do use 3.5mm inner dia coils ,any smaller & i find wicking it really difficult.

Didn't realise they'd stopped? I got 8 he4's from FT at the end of Jan/start of Feb inside a few weeks with Sweden post.

E: **** just chipped the glass on the goblin mini v2, is the glass section the same as on the v1?

Yeah they stopped sending them for a while due to a plane carrying batteries caught fire or something along those lines.

E: Found it.

Ah at least it's been sorted then :)

Got two red cards today one has to be my supreme while I think the other will be Nova vapes liquid :D

I got red carded yesterday for my Vapor Giant. Tried to collect it today but forgot it was a bank holiday :(

lol.. I went to the post office twice yesterday, had a verbal argument with a builder too just to pickup my juice.

That VG mini-nano is a limited edition one, I would have grabbed it if I could be bothered... keep meaning to get one but just keep passing on them.

looking to get this asap.. I think it be a winner depending on how good the afc is...

Two post; my favorite post configuration for rdas, wire camps like the m-atty and rather short looking tank. For the price it's worth a blind purchase.

I harrased the local vaping post man for a little earlier to make me feel better.

Mark did mention in the WTS post that the Black we're a limited edition

That Shuriken doesn't look like a bad dripper at all. Looks similar in size to the Snapdragon and just as awkward to build on

Sv's resistant collectomaniac had bout 8 of them at one point but he put them up for sale, there's no difference apart from the limited numbers and colour.

in ref of the snapdragon, that's why they are changing the deck design for the velocity style one next month. I've never had an issue with two posts dual coil but I can see how its a pain. fighting the want for a dotmod petri...

I gather that was the only difference, Marks done the hardest part of building it for me by putting a fresh Papas wick in it

It took me a few attempts getting the Snapdragon right, I ran it single coil for the first couple of weeks.

I've been put off the Petri, been a few that my local shop have sold that have developed loose/wobbly posts

Just a heads up, Vampire Vape have 20% off liquids including concentrates with each order containing a free gift with the promo code Easter which ends Monday.

Time to stock up on some Pinkman concentrate me thinks :D

Hoping I see the postman today hoping to recieve some liquid from Nova Vapes and the Tsunami RDA Clone aswell as some grub screws to get my Velocity RDA back in action!!

My current weapon of choice. (got 3 Supremes on the go atm! lol) :D

Absolutely loving this tank, best tank I've ever used. Excellent vape, flavour and digging the 7ml capacity.

Love the build quality too, feels nice and premium.
