Get yourself a Coilmaster, some 26 awg Kanthal or 316L stainless, and some Muji cotton and give it a go. It's not hard. I'm all thumbs with the dexterity of a 4-year-old and I can do it.
If you get a tank with a big build deck like the Supreme or the 25mm Griffin and it's even easier.

Yeah I'm actually giving some thought into building my own coils now - problem is that I really (really really really!) love the Elements Frost stuff, its like crack, but I'm not going to spend £8 a week on coils and another £25 on juice.

Rids, it's just a strong Menthol isn't it? It wouldn't surprise me that it's just FlavourWest (FW) Extreme Ice and something like Koolada by The Flavour Apprentice (TFA).

They seem to use FW concentrates for most of their juices, Ecto-Cooler & Blood Orange for example for 'Fresh Squeeze'. If you wanted to get into making your own, the two above would be where I'd start.

This is true... He has the dex of a four year old... ;) lol

I only tend to use 28 or 26awg.. With the new coiling tools it's easy.
Making the coil is only about 25% of the task, the hard part is the wicking.. Knowing the right amount of cotton to use and how to place it do it doesn't dry hit or over wicks. It's just comes with experience, there's one a certain number of deck styles out there, so even that is easy. I do find using cheap cotton in cheap tanks better than running high wicking cotton in them as they tend to flood... I.e. The goblin mini never fails with me using muji, if I try using bacon; it floods.

Get yourself down to a local vape meet, there be someone to show you in person. :)

My cousin absolutely loves Elements Frost, It's all he vapes!!

I attempted to replicate it with Flavour West Extreme Ice and added Koolada.. even grabbed some FROST concentrate which was HORRIBLE and I came nothing close  Was more like Spearmint menthol.

Edit: Been vaping T Juice - Red Astair this past week, is it a known coil killer? The build has degraded pretty quickly!

The problem is that I'm really not a patient person and I'm not particularly dexterous - I imagine I will face hours of frustration to produce something akin to to vaping directly from a dogs ********.

If you don't mind small capacity, the exposed glass and fact you need to use a glass dropper to fill, the wismec theorem is a nice compromise between pre-made coils and building your own, it comes with premade notch coils you can buy (which are both cheaper than others and should last longer, plus you can rewick them), and it gives you a deck to build on if you fancy having a go at building your own. Not to mention it's a pretty damn good vape!

Hmm..

I've never tried the juice so I have no way of deciphering it really, I could probably make something close though.

I make up Red at 20% using their concentrate and it's fine on coils. Never had an issue. Certainly much easier on them than some of the custards I vape.

Its quite a sweet juice with one hell of a methol kick to it. I don't know how best to describe it however!

I had a chat in my local B&M and they recommended Green Slushie as something else I might like. Must admit its lovely, completely different flavour but again has a potent kick to it.

Turns out its made by Elements under another name and chews coils for fun also. FML.

Bit late to the party I know, but just got my hands on the TFV4. Never had flavour like I have off those quad coils, even when compared to Vaporesso's Ccells. Shame all I really smoke is Element Fresh Squeeze... Not as deadly as the other Elements but still, gunks up every coil within 5 days.

As much as I love my VTC Mini, I'm thinking it is best used as a portable thing, and want to get a home-vape mod with 2 or 3 batteries so I don't need to recharge as much.

I'll be running with my Crown and 0.5ohm coils as I am very happy with them.

So please recommend me a stay-at-home mod :D

Wismec RX200/RX200S (3 batteries) or the Joyetech Cuboid (2 batteries).

Make sure you've got a decent external charger though, I wouldn't use the built in USB charging on the mods themselves.

RX200S

Cuboid

RX200

Select China Post for delivery and you'll have it in about 9 days.

The ijust2 (I think that's the name of the tank) which uses similar coils to the ones in the AIO kit was the last one that I tried that I thought this is good.
Not the AIO - That takes the same coils as the Cubis.
The iJust 2 looks to take coils that would fit the Nautilus Mini.

A lot of people ask for factory coil atty for work or to go on holiday for reliability reasons.. Me personally, I would rather take one of my gennies and have done...
I was more interested in the tank features, so was quite upset when the coils turned out to be crap.

If you're just wanting to build on a Dripper, it's surprisingly easy.
Your first couple of goes will likely be naff, but then you'll start getting the hang of it. I've only done maybe 10-15 twin-coil builds since starting and it seems almost a complete cakewalk now.

I've been using the micro-usb in the VTC Mini, that a problem?

On the VTC Mini its not such an issue as its a single cell, its more an issue on mods with 2+ batteries due to poor balancing iirc :)

Though I'm not sure what the charge rate on the VTC Mini is, if its only 0.5a an external charger (a decentish one!) will give you 1a and 2a charge options which will be considerably faster.

Cheers, makes sense.

My mini seems to charge pretty fast on a 2a phone charger, but I have noticed that I get 'weak battery' messages around 30% which I didn't when I first got the mod.

Anyways, have an RX200S coming, along with some LG HG2s and an external charger, thanks all!

The Following Current joyetech mods, VTC Mini, Istick Pico, Cuboid and the VF mods, all have a 1amp USB charging board built in and work well by all accounts, i have not taken the cell out of my VTC mini since i got it and just use the onboard charger for it, same with my Pico :)

But on the mods with 2 or more cells i would use an external charger.
