Hi guys, need a little help please, I have a limitless RDTA + and built my first coils on it a 2 coils x with 7 winds each claptons and reads 0.53ohms and are both 3mm internal diameter and I wicked them with cotton bacon.

The juices I tried is a 70vg/30pg and I also tried a 50/50 too.

The problem is as I fire the button the coils heat up and make a horrible popping of the juice that burns if it comes out of the air holes or the mouthpiece (spitback). I tried lower wattage from 20-30w and was ok around 27.5w but the vape is cold and tasteless ( I enjoy a warmer vape) but at anything higher than 30+ watts it does its loud popping and throws hot juice.. Any advice please before I rebuild the coil and rewick it ? The wicking is working great and not had one dry hit and maybe working a bit too well but the deck is not covered in juice so is using it as it rewicks and doesn't look like its flooding the coils.


Any advice will be appreciated before I go crazy and i'm really fed up with the aspire cleito 120 standard coils as they seem to work for 3 days sometimes or last ages,the coil goes bad and gets the famous vacuum problem and I have to keep opening the top to let it bubble or it dry hits, the coils are rated from 100-120w but they say they can easily do 160w too... but i'm vaping at 80w as it gets too hot and too much vaper for me.. I would like the same experience with the RDTA without the never ending coil changing at £4 a pop every 3 days...

I had the same issues as you did but now mine works fine. I vape at about 60 watts with a dual coiled clapton setup which reads .23ohm and my coils pop when they heat up but I don't get hot juice spitting back or if I do it's very rare.

Not sure why yours is doing that though, have you made sure the cotton you have put through the coil is just thick enough ie when you pull it it has a bit resistance as in it doesn't pull out easily. If your wick is too thin through the coils then that could possibly cause the spitback. Also make sure you prime your coils with juice, give each coil a good squeeze of juice.

Other than that I can't think of anything else.

Just ordered my first DIY batch in about 8 months.

Gone with HIC Almond Apple Pie recipe from VA as I like the fact it's only 2 flavours. Ordered my 500ml of VPG mix.

I'm right in thinking that 4% of 500ml is 20ml and 2% of 500ml is 10ml - correct? As the recipe calls for 4% and 2%.

I'm normally okay with mixing but for some reason tonight the math is failing me hard.

Ahh well mystery solved lol. I was looking at that mod myself, looks nice. But I'm going to see how I get on with the g priv mod.

Looking forward to getting the mod, serpent mini tank and the troll v2 rda...hopefully won't be too long although tracking makes absolutely no sense to me. 2 of my orders are now saying parceforce, so not sure if it's in the country or not. If it then I'll be wel impressed.

Smok Alien Mod
Samsung 30Q Batteries
Cleito120 coils

Any reason not to try them and buy UK instead?

Thanks Yas, yes my wick was too thin, but was copying what some youtube people were doing and saying it should be pretty loose in the coil but humm created the popping and spitback problem, now I made it tight in the coil not a single problem and still wicks great not one dry hit or spitback and popping of hot juice in my mouth or the air holes to burn my hands.

Still using the same coil I just burnt it off and rewicked it so must have been the wick was too thin . Wasn't bad for my first ever attempt but now great on the second try, now I know for the future . I had a funny feeling it was just wicking way too well before and was allowing a lot of juice to get to the coil too quick and causing the liquid collected to explode because it couldn't vaporize quick enough.

If they were selling fakes marked as authentic they'd end up out of business fairly quick, if it says authentic, then it's the real deal. Don't buy batteries from them however, as shipping is often lengthy, try fogstar for batteries.

This has been discussed multiple times in this thread. If Fasttech list it as Authentic, then it's Authentic.

Batteries usually take 14 days to deliver (they come via Sweden Post), so like pgi said get them from Fogstar or Ecolux.

Speaking of them listing authentics I wish they'd hurry up and list the Lush Plus! Will grab another troll RTA too, this thing is magic, as soon as hit fire you can see it starting to bubble away rewicking, chain vaping a couple of three core Clapton's at 100w has never been easier

I noticed it's not as bad as say the avocado for ripping through juice either

Turns out, the pack of Cleito coils I'd been using were either fakes or duds. I'd burnt through 4 in a week and half, all making a funny noise when inhaling and just having so little flavour.

Bought another pack and there's a few little differences between the two, text on the coils and general finish being the two main ones.

Annoyingly the Aspire checker came back and said they were legit so I don't know if I've got a pack of duds, or if they were sophisticated fakes.

And what do you want your finished bottle to be? Ratio and Nic content?

Even if you wanted to make say 100ml 70VG/30PG @ 3mg. You'd need to take away 17ml of PG.

I think you should've got a higher strength base mate. Or you know, do what I've been recommending in here for ages. Get your Nic, PG and VG separately!

That's the problem with pre-built coils, you're always going to get duds.
