Spent the evening teaching the wife to make some simple coils and fit them, i decided to make something for my goon.
Clapton + 22ga parallel coming in at a lovely 0.14 ohms, very happy with it. A little messy but heats nice and evenly!
Also, if anyone is looking for a nice medium size dual battery mod, have a look at the minikin boost! Absolutely lovely bit of kit!

So decided to try a dual coil set up in my new serpent mini with a couple of demon killer alien coils that I bought from FT and was delivered this morning with my g priv mod and serpent mini.
Anyhow managed to get the coils onto the deck, was a bit of a tight fit though. Juices up the wick and coils and went to put on the top part ie the tank to fill it up.
Only one issue, coils are too big for the tank to go over them lol. With a bit of squeezing and jiggling around I could get it on but the coils rub up against the metal part of the tank ie the funnel bit. So yeh that was a bit disappointing, had to take the build apart. Although I could use the alien coils for my rda although not sure if they will fit :/.
Didn't realise just how big the alien coils are. From what I can of the dimensions on back of the box, it says size: 1.7*9mm and inner is 3mm.

iirc I used some of the SS316 'Alien' in the serpent mini 25, though I think it was only single coil mode.
Grab some 26/32 or 24/32 KA1 or N80 clapton wire from wireandstuff, 5-6 wraps over a 2.5mm post should fit nicely in the mini.
What RDA is it? You'd be surprised what you can shoe horn into some
, if you want something bigger, I can highly recommend the Troll V2 25mm, Velocity deck, big post holes, heaps of room.

Made a Clapton coil, 5 wraps at 3mm 26G+32G, came out at .52, wicked it using Cotten Bacon, using the youtube guide, and first 2/3 hits was good, now its just dry hitting every time, so rewicked, and just dry hits!

Rest the cotton just above the wick channels, not actually in them and bring the coil as close to the bottom as possible - reducing the wick length, also if its a large ID coil (3mm+) try thinning the wick tails out a little. Other then that I can only suggest reducing the wattage until it balances out.
I wick my Serpent Mini so the cotton just touches the deck and does not go into the juice channels, i fluff the ends up before adding juice to soak them and fold them onto the deck... but i keep my coils a few mm well above the airflow hole, i use TC, and with the coil placed too low, it hits Temp protect way too fast and ruins the vape, but sitting higher allows better airflow to keep the coil from hitting TC too fast, i run mine at 35w, with a .36ohm 316L Clapton @200c.

lol I actually have a troll v2 rda coming from ft. But I tried a dual alien in my tsunami24 rda and that fit ok albeit a bit tight.
Anyhow seeing as I also got a box of the demon killer staggered fused clapton coils as well. I've got that in my serpent mini but wicking is proving to be an issue so have re wicked it again. Thank god with the serpent mini I don't need to drain the juice, what a god send that is.

Lovely build, ramp up time isnt to bad either. I managed to squeeze it all into a 22mm goon, proper tight in there and gets the rda very warm. Waiting on a fasttech delivery for a reload rda and some other bits, should have some more room in there.

Ive just rewicked my serpent mini a few mins ago. Looking at your pics, you have too much cotton so try and thin it out a bit.
I followed this guys youtube video and he shows how you should wick it, ive just done it via his way and so far 20 pulls and absolutely no dry hits.

At the moment on my serpent mini, with a staggered fused Clapton coil that I got from FT...its running at 0.37ohms even though the box says 0.30ohm coils. Its not a big deal as its just out a tad from the advertised description or could be out due to me jiggling the coil around to get it to fit the single deck coil of the serpent mini.
So far very very impressed with the serpent mini, what an awesome tank. Absolutely loving it in a single coil config.
