lol I actually have a troll v2 rda coming from ft. But I tried a dual alien in my tsunami24 rda and that fit ok albeit a bit tight.

Anyhow seeing as I also got a box of the demon killer staggered fused clapton coils as well. I've got that in my serpent mini but wicking is proving to be an issue so have re wicked it again. Thank god with the serpent mini I don't need to drain the juice, what a god send that is.

You should manage something substantial in the Tsunami24, haven't used mine for a while, but I do remember 2.5mm ID chinese aliens was a comfortable fit, iirc dual coil around 5 wraps comes in somewhere around 0.2ohm

Lovely build, ramp up time isnt to bad either. I managed to squeeze it all into a 22mm goon, proper tight in there and gets the rda very warm. Waiting on a fasttech delivery for a reload rda and some other bits, should have some more room in there.

As above, wick tails are far too long! The above mentioned video does it very similar to how I do it, though I don't tuck much of any into the well.

Damn there are so many different types lol. Not sure which one to buy, could you give me a link to the type of wire I should buy??. I can build my own coils so just need a spool of it so I can make my own.

At the moment on my serpent mini, with a staggered fused Clapton coil that I got from FT...its running at 0.37ohms even though the box says 0.30ohm coils. Its not a big deal as its just out a tad from the advertised description or could be out due to me jiggling the coil around to get it to fit the single deck coil of the serpent mini.

So far very very impressed with the serpent mini, what an awesome tank. Absolutely loving it in a single coil config.

I'd advise getting a few spools, can never have too many options. The only things I would stay away from are:

Juggernaught wire: Its a pain to wrap, needs a small power station to heat and spits like mad.

Hybrid Clapton Coil: While its nice to work with, its resistance is silly low, even big dual coil builds i've done with it come out around 0.08ohm.

For regular clapton just look for stuff marked "Clapton Coil - Single Wrap"

I also see they've added a ton of new stuff since I last purchased, now I have to buy something

Just rewicked it again, with a new coil 2mm 6 wraps came out at .47

Cut your cotton about 2mm shorter each end, you want it to rest on the top deck so it cover the juice well, but does not sit in it.. also, fluff the ends out too.

Yeah 95-105 seems to be ideal for mine, your looks a hell of a lot tidier than mine!

I've swapped it over onto the marshal with 3 batterys, it was killing a pair of 30Q's in the minkin. Ramped it up a bit and was pulling 35 amps easily. Not one to go on a mech thats for sure. Marshal is saying its 0.13 ohms though.

Been making simple stuff for a while, finally got my drill and jig set up properly on the desk for making claptons and such. Big plans for making all sorts of stuff now!

Yeah too much wick, especially if you have it tucked in the juice wells.. chokes the cotton too tight so it cant wick fast enough.

I have some of those tins of staggers, if the RDA is big enough they give enough wire to put another wrap on to bump the resistance...This was one I'd put in a Pharaoh dripper:

Clamp one side in first, then grab some long nosed pliers and pull each wire individually with a bit shoved through the coil, pulls all of the slack out, making them tidy in the process

IF they slacken while tightening the second set down, try bending the excess wires up once tight to help them stay in place

Just recoiled my tsunami24 rda with a couple of those Chinese aliens, the ones that wouldn't fit my serpent in a dual coil.

Thought I could get away with using the discarded alien coils but thy weren't sitting nicely on the tsunami24 rda. Anyhow got a couple new ones, put them in, clipped the excess and they fit like a dream...plenty of space in that tsunami24. Dual coil alien running at 0.14ohms on my g priv mod.

Luckily I haven't sold my lost vape triade DNA200 mod and don't think I will now as my g priv will be use with my tanks and my triade with my rda's.

Been using the g priv mod that I got from FT and have to say it's nice, the screen is nice and big. Only gripe I have with it is that it could have been more sharper ie the screen. Quite blocky the graphics and writing but meh no big deal I guess. Had a few problems trying to get my .14ohm rda to fire on it but managed to get it sorted in the end.

^You should always keep a good DNA device on hand, if for anything the fact they'll fire in power mode down to 0.06ohms, I've had the odd build that before dry burning and shaping have sat at ~0.08 and not fire on most other mods due to a 0.1 limit, once burned and settled in over 0.1 and free to use on other mods.

Plus I absolutely despise my VaporShark DNA200, its sole use is for building on.

All this building talk finally got me round to replacing the rather worse for wear twisted pair that came with the troll.

Cue one strange hour of tempering, tweaking etc. Both coils exactly the same 22 paralell claptons 5 wraps 3mm id.

Yet whilst individually both fired up and gave a perfect short free glow with zero tinkering required, and the one time i managed to get both firing together they were perfectly balanced, one reads .56 and the other .16

After much tinkering and trying to get both to fire with the coil far enough in to clear the chamber walls eventually gave up and just running 1. Which kinda works if a bit wierd being lop sided heat.

Probably revisit, might go for 24 paralells for a bit less space, dont wanna go more wraps as i preferr spaced coils, cba breaking out the drill at this time of the morning.

Good shout, might give that a go. Space is tricky though.

Probably could have got away with 6 wraps, but would have been a contact coil. Gave up on the single and just shoved some of the 26/32 premade in there as a stop gap, although its somewhat lacklustre.

Ordered a couple more Samsung 30q batteries as well from fogstar, I have 3 at the moment and 2 are being used in g priv mod. The extra one is in my triade dna200 mod so need 2 in there. Decent price from fogstar, was going to get them wrapped in the fogstar wrap but decided to keep them pink lol.

The serpent Mini is a cracking tank, i have both silver and black and use both on Istick Pico mods, makes for a good small carry and use while driving, but they do eat the juice fast, the 2ml capacity is its only limit.
