***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

It's not THAT expensive to get your liquid tested in a lab.

I read on a couple of companies' sites that TPD-compliant testing is something like £10,000 per flavour, per nicotine level, being cited as the main reason for them closing down...
So for someone like Chuff Stuff, for example - 10 flavours each in 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18mg would be £500,000.

I think it's about £1200 per flavour IIRC, that's what I read on FlavourArt's site anyway.

On the topic of Ace of Vapez, I've tried their juice before and it wasn't bad. I just wish they wouldn't add food colouring to their lineup.

I don't think the Jaffa cake flavour has any food colouring...

Maybe that one doesn't. But their main range does. No juice whatever concentrates you use, will come out fluorescent green (Yoda Snot).

FWIW it's Capella Lemon Lime, TFA Champagne and TFA Key Lime ;)

I bought this, and now I feel like a dog flying a helicopter. I have NO idea what I'm doing.

I wanted a replacement for fags, and I jumped in the deep end. A more experienced friend put it together for me. I've also updated the firmware (?!!)

Does that apply to just the flavour, though, or to any other component products they supply - Such as pre-made juices, nic solutions, PG/VG mixes, etc?

"A producer is anyone who manufactures or imports these products or who re-brands any product as their own"
"Emissions testing should be carried out
at least once
on each flavour and on each
combination of flavours."

The MHRA estimated that a single Market Approval (for one liquid or vaping device) would cost up to £350,000, which sounds pretty excessive...

"This led to a situation where an ECITA member company contacted the MHRA directly, and was told that they would require 900 MAs to cover their product range. Based on the MHRA cost estimates, this would cost £315,000,000 purely for MAs. This does not include the associated costs of GMP compliance, nor importing, wholesale, or pharmacovigilance fees, which would also add significant costs. It also takes no account of future costs, such as R&D into new products, which would also require significant expenditure"

I think they've toned that down a bit now, but still... !!!

That's a big setup for a first dip in to vaping.
So, looks like you have yourself an RX200 and a Uwell Crown. Both are decent but are a little large for a carry-around. I have several RX200s but they stay at home.

So, what do you want to know? Fire away.

That tank is good at around 50W by the way.

Had a week of wonderful vaping loads of different flavours, and now I can't taste a thing all taste bland And ****, I think I've got vapors tongue :mad:

Try brushing your tongue or get a tongue scrapper. I find the VG or PG coats mine and it is just part of my brushing routine now to clean my tongue.

That was my first question actually! Thanks!

What about temperature, or is that more to do with the juice?

Also, I've got juice from juicemeister which seems pretty nice, but do you have a preferred retailer, or do you mainly make your own?

It does seem like a bit step for vaping, but I thought "buy cheap buy twice". :-D

So my first ever Rejuiced order turned up - thoughts so far:

Sherbet Dumbledore - lovely flavour, tangy aftertaste, right on the money.
Menthol Molotov Cocktail - holy balls that is one hell of a menthol kick - I went for an extra flavour shot as i generally like strong menthol but that might be a bit too much for me. The only menthol flavour I've enjoyed as much as Elements Frost but not one to vape outside on a cold day, think I'll try it without the flavour shot next.
Cola Cube - no, not for me this one, tastes far too chemically.

Finally ordered my Cuboid - should be here tomorrow.

Is the Nitecore D2 a good charger? I needed one sharpish for my 30Q's and that one seemed to have decent reviews.

They're not bad but the charge rate on them is pretty crap (500mah x2). I'd look at the Xtar VC2 or VC4. As I've mentioned previously though, they do need a USB to Mains adapter, so a good phone one that outputs at least 2.1A is needed.

VC4 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UVYNRFK (2x1A/4x500mAh charging)
VC2 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B013JNCUZ2 (2x1A/2x500mAh charging)

Personally, I'd get the VC4. No doubt you'll end up getting more batteries at some stage and you'll be grateful you got the extra 2 slots.

Well, the Crown with either the 0.5 Ohm or 0.25 Ohm coils can run in temperature mode or normal power mode. You want the SS program on your device to run them in temperature mode.
For the 0.5s, 50W and 230 degrees C
For the 0.25s, 80W and 230 degrees C

For liquid, give Rejuiced or DragonRise a try. They are cheap and their liquids are pretty good. You will want 3 or 6mg with that setup.

Okay, I'm running the 0.25 in SS mode at the moment. I've been running at 50w and 200, so I'll push up to 230 in a bit and give it a go. Thank you!

Also, rejuiced seems very reasonable compared to juicemeister, and they seem to have more flavours I'm interested in. I like the idea of the menthol one, and I love the smell of the custardy ones. I can't see myself ever going back to fags!

My new Black Pico and Black Serpent Mini arrived from FT...

Have the exact same setup in black with me right now, coupled with some blue slush from Flavour Boss :D

A winning combination!

What kind of build are you running? Currently have a .36 clapton @ 25 watts. Massively underpowering the coil but I'm finding it a more satisfying vape that the 1.4ohm @ 15watts I had in there last week. Fortunately the battery is still lasting me a full day.

Thanks again for your help, Gee :)

I'll grab the VC4, you're right about having more batteries in the near future, I think I'll grab another set of 30Q's once I've got the Cuboid, the CoolFire IV Plus I've got needs charging 2-3 times a day to maintain a decent vape so I'm hoping a set of 30Q's will be good all day.
