***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

Lion batteries are good for thousands of cycles, so daily usage should last years. Mine always get thrown away because they’re tatty as hell and risk shorting. I could just tidy them up but meh, new shiny.

You can get 100 wraps off Fasttech for about 80p, and a sheet of 250 insulators for about £1. No point chucking them if all they need is a re-wrap.

Got a dilemma guys so help me out. Going to cancel my OBS 2 from FT and go with the Dead Rabbit RTA in either purple or blue. I'll live with 2ml and a fugly bubble glass.

Cannot decide which of two colours to get that I like. The purple will go great with my purple Wismec Gen 3 that's on its way, but will it go with a shiny chrome G-Priv 2? I can't help thinking the light blue would look better on that but I don't really want to buy two Dead Rabbits. Do you think the purple would look good or the blue look better? I know, it's pathetic, right? :p

The Dead Rabbit looks like it's going to suffer with the same flavour issues as the original OBS Engine with its top airflow. The OBS Engine 2 is much, much better for flavour than the original Engine or Engine Nano.

Not that fussed tbh as I'm happy enough with the OBS Engine. It's more about aesthetics for me at the moment. Unfortunately after 4 years I still don't taste juices properly and the only one I get something from is Red Astaire. So it's more about shinyitis.

I've decided to buy both blue and purple and change the Zeus from blue to gunmetal.

Few days with the Profile RDA / Pulse 80 combo and I've realised now is the time to start making my own eliquid. My loooord does this thing get through juice!

Long time no see.

Had an extremely rough 3 months or so (bad break up, kids involved etc...) And am back on a 30 a day habit after 3 years without.

It seems so daft but never thought smoking could bring me the calm it has even though I hate it.

Need to have a splurge on a new rta and move up from the 1mg I was on up to 6mg or so to break the habit again, any recommendations?

I'd suggest giving some Nic Salts a try, 20mg vapes like a 3mg juice but gives a much quicker and harder nic hit which may be useful trying to give yp the cigs again

Im in the same boat, I got fed up with spending far to much on the premium stuff, the drop tank does some wizardry on making juice disappear. so i bought 1ltr of vg from amazon, some random red astire concentrate and I already had a nic shot, within minutes I mixed up 50ml of it! I wouldn't recommend the red astire, while not bad its just to aniseedy for my liking.

Time to hit the cookbooks. :D
Come on down the rabbit hole, im not sure why I put it off for so long!

What type of bottles are you guys mixing your juices in? I never really thought much about it before now, but perhaps it's time for me to go completely glass to avoid leaching?
I was thinking about cleaning out and reusing a bunch of very old juice bottles of hard and soft plastic bottles (PET and LDPE I think they are) but am concerned now that they might not be health friendly. I actually though the soft LDPE were less safe than PET but according to the plastic bottle company they're safer.

'Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) can be used and reused, but repeated washing may cause toxic chemicals to leach from the plastic into the contents. Recycle them when they become cloudy or cracked.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) containers are frequently used in the food industry for freezer containers.

Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic containers do not leach toxic chemicals into food and are often used for freezing foodstuffs. '

I buy a 200ml glass bottle of VG from Boots, 99p :)

Pour a quarter out into an empty bottle, pour a 30ml bottle of concentrate (Red Astair) add 4.5ml of PG with 4ml or Nic and top up with the left over VG, 200ml of liquid for around £11.50.

Done this for 4 years now. No scales, just a 5ml cough spoon.

I've always used LDPE, since I first started mixing 4 or so years ago.. PET just lose their shape once you've squeezed them and glass bottles are expensive.

Can get 50x 100ml LDPE bottles with caps etc. from ibottles for about £20, lasts me ages.

Can anyone recommend a decent tank? I'm quite out of the loop. I only really go to 50w/60w. Currently use a Smok TFV 8 Baby, but the coils over the past few months have been complete garbage. Some last a few weeks, some last a day and thats using the same juice. Also they cant seem to wick anything over 60/40 for more than 24 hours with complete failure then nothing but burnt hits.

Hey Gee thanks for the info. I'll have a gander at ibottles.
Are those with childproof caps?

Also, I'm going to replace my nic. Still got over half of my 250ml bottle from 2015. Colour has always been the same but it's quite peppery now and I never refridgerated it. It should probably be binned by now.

I'm going to buy 100ml of nic and a couple of 50ml glass bottles for it. Don't know if you can get glass bottles with childproof caps. I saw you once mentioned nichub on eBay. They've got 100ml for under a tenner. Will he sell to me, me not being a business?

Yes mate. Caps and tips all included.

I'm pretty sure you can still get 72mg Nic on eBay, from where though you'd have to have a look.

Yeah, I looked last night, quite a few sellers selling 72mg pg and vg based nic from 100ml up, including nichub. They all mention the business to business thing but hopefully they'll turn a blind eye.

The cotton is packed too tightly in the Smok coils which is a real pain in the arse. Short term hack is to take a needle and poke some holes in the cotton to aid wicking - just while you use up what ever coils you have left. Ive gone to innokin for coils and the Scion 2 tank with bubble glass. Does the job and nice and easy, plexus (mesh) coils seem to have a decent life on them and a great flavour hit.

What juice are you using?

I got the Geekvape Gbox 200 (squonk thing) early this year or late last year (I can't actually remember) and the other day it died. The display read imbalanced batteries and juts died. Not even charging with other batteries, nothing prompting on the PC when plugged in via USB. I have tried every combo, usb leads, batteries, mains, laptop, pc etc. Anyway, I am after a new vape, two to be exact, one for me and one for the wife. Looking at decent ones that I can build my own coils, not fussed about squonking. Gives a good powerful hit and in the price range of £50. trying to keep the cost low as possible. Any suggestions?

e: prefer one wherei can refill without unscrewing anything filling from the top where the mouth piece is.

This is why you use a dedicated charger as opposed to in-built charging. Majority of mods do not have balance charging. Have you tried a new set of batteries in it, that're fully charged?

Yeah, juts wont turn on at all. like I mentioned the mod isnt even being recognised when plugged into the pc. I have took it apart and all connections are fine and wiring etc.

You need a working set of batteries inside the mod, for it to connect to the PC, no?

When I say a set of fully charged batteries, I mean a pair that have been charged using a dedicated charger and not in-built (device) charging?

I can't see why the device would not turn on, unless it's damaged the chip inside or something.
