Am I the only one you makes my own juice? Screw paying £12 for a bottle of 30ml pre-made stuff when I can make the same thing for a couple of quid. It's only three ingredients and it also means I can make it stronger or weaker as I see fit.

I get the 36MG from TW and the PG from Ireland (big bottle lasts years) and thin down 50% to get 18%. Sometime I thin more and add glycerine.

Yes it does weaken the flavour a bit, but to my liking and obviously 50% cheaper this way.

5 coils of the wire it came with think it is 34 Kanthal. I didn't measure the mesh but it is something like 20*40. I always use less mesh than people suggest. I like a big hole to the tube and it to be a bit loose in the hole. I've found having the wick a bit slack gives the best results on both my rebuildables. I had to double the leg of wire coming from the centre post to stop a top coil hot spot.

I'm not sure if the Aga is easier or if I'm just used to doing it now but I got this one done first time and really quickly. Longest bit is oxidizing the wick now. I've found heating the wick for much longer in each 'spot' along the length works best.

No you aren't. I think there are quite a few of us that do. The only pre-made I buy is the house of liquid stuff, and only because it is that damn good.

My Odyesse and liquid is at home waiting for me to unpack on Friday :)

Just got email from some jobs worth pointing out that company E-Cig policy is to treat them as normal cigs.

No point fighting it, contractor and no rights and the company is a very large global, so no chance. Just keep it descreet :)

Screw that, I'd have a chat with someone in the office. Think carefully about the way you want to present it, but if you explain the benefits (no breaks needed), and explain the lack of negatives (it's just water vapour, no smells) then you might get somewhere. If it's written in stone then so be it, but it's always worth a shot. I can't imagine leaving my desk to vape and losing revenue as a result.

I make all my own juice. Mostly because it is so much cheaper. I haven't even tried that many pre-made juices. I sometimes get the urge to try a lot of the 'famous' juices to see what I'm missing out on, but they cost a lot per ml compared to home brewed.

I'm vaping Raspberry I made only today. 18mg with 25% VG and 10% flavour. Got some could9vaping ry4 to try but even the concentrate smells weak. Hoping it will be tastier than it smells straight.

Crikey 20mm wide? or is that height and you dont have a full length wick touching the bottom, getting as much info as i can so i can hopefully transfer it to my attempts..

Also i want to start mixing my own liquids, i only tend to vape RY4 these days anyways, that should be an easy one to get right lol.

Large System Integrator, no chance of changing this. Will just do it descreetly. Only a contractor, so no weight really and I am not bothered.

20ish wide. It was all floppy to start with but got more ridged as I oxidized it. Next time I'd likely make it a little bit wider. I do pull the wick up about a mm or so, so it doesn't touch the bottom. I cut the top at a angle once it is in so I could likely make it about 10mm less but the mesh was already that length.

Like I said before I make my wicks with less mesh than anyone else suggests. In the VH Genesis I make a T shaped wick the main body is 20mm but it has a 30mm bit at the top. Old wicks are the best, once you get one that wicks well you can just burn off any crud before you recoil it.

Cheer Crowort ill give that a try, all my attempts have failed, between hotspots and metallic tastes ive had it all lol - Next on my list is a twisted 0.20mm kanthal coil, apparently is meant to work quite well.
Using an Aga-T+ with an IBTanked Pyrex tank for it.

The only hotspot I got with this was on the top coils leg, twisting a second length along it fixed that.

I know just what you mean about the metallic taste. I got that every time with the VH Genesis until I made a smaller wick. I almost gave up on it, I just made sure I had something else I could vape and kept trying.

My Aga-T+ came with a Pyrex tank. It was the main selling point for me. I like a clear tank but the plastic ones for the VH RBA kept cracking. Wasn't the juice I don't think but they were so tight I had to push them really hard to get them over the o-rings.

Ive fixed that top leg hotspot, just get them everywhere else (i suck at oxidising it seems), used a 2mm washer and a spring from a pen, removed the 2nd nut, leaving one at the bottom, cut the spring so it was level with the top of the post, washer on - compress and put the nut on again, spring loaded positive post.
Also i removed the silica wick post, grab it with some pliers and wiggle like crazy, a 2nd unthreaded hole for either filling or a Uwick/twin wick and coil setups.

Seems like a lot of work. I got rid of it just by wrapping the wire back round to have a double wire on the leg. I'm just using the normal holes for my wick this time, might play with it next time. Maybe a U-wick or something but it is vaping great so I don't know if changing things is worth it.

Im starting to branch out in terms of the gear im using, only a couple of month ago i bought a Vamo, and a genesis from vapourhut, shortly after that i bought the Aga-T+ and an IBTanked pyrex tank for it (still using it) and Tomorrow my Poldiac mechanical mod comes, £153 on some steel :( shineyitis has bitten me hard...oh and im getting an AC9 Genesis soon aswell from the states.
http://mmvapors.com/the-poldiac/161-poldiac-bto.html

The Poldiac is a work of art! Jim has some great ideas and has never disappointed with his stuff, and he's a really nice bloke to boot! To be honest I rarely use my Provari since I moved to a DID setup as I just wrap a LR coil and use a mechanical mod. I use 18650s for all day use so quite happy with 3.6v and haven't found the need to bump up voltages.

On the juice front I'm now addicted to AiV's "White Rabbit", although I would say it is an acquired taste. Can get it from http://www.switch2-ecigs.com/ (along with their superb JV Smurph **** if you like fruity flavours).

Oh yea forgot to add that i got my Poldiac this morning, its freaking stunning, really does show up the Vamo in terms of looks (not hard its ugly) and also the way it vapes, its sooo much smoother than the Vamo, and im getting miles more vapour and flavour from the Poldiac using the same coil and wick as i was previously.

Ill get some pics of it, also side by side with my SS Vamo in each mode.

Riiight, time for me to upgrade to something a bit better. Some opinions would be good please as I have been off the vaping forums for a while and don't know what's what.

First my history of ecigs, first to last

E-Lites (what a waste of £20 )
TW Tornado Tank - got fed up of leaks, sometimes shot attie life and that god damn burn taste
Un-named dual coil cartos - weren't bad at all, was getting 10 for £5 but they are no longer sold
Smok Mega DC cartos - love these, great vape but tend to make me vape more :p
Boge SR cartos - bog standard, standard res, my current day to day vape
eGo Vision rebuildable (V3 I think) fed up of carp flavour

Time for something better, but what?

TIA ;)

I know how you feel. I'm still on the smok DC cartos, but they don't seem as consistent as they used to be (some seem to have rubbish performance and I just dump them). I've tried the vivi nova, but it doesn't wick that well with the stock heads. It's just tricky to find that balance of ease and performance

My beef with the Smok cartos is they hold lots of juice and tend to go off quicky. One minute it's fine, excellent even, next bog all vapour and or crap taste. Fed up of chucking £2.50 and some juice away so early when Boge cartos at about a quid last much longer and don't get rubbish flavour. I gave up on making my own juice for a bit, must get back into it.

Any rebuildables worth thinking about? Wasn't over the moon with the eGo Vision V3 tbh

I'm too in love with making my own to have tried any of the new atties / cartos. Having said that I've heard the Kanger MT3s are really great.

What about a Dripper? something called an Igo-l £14 or something like that, getting quite good reviews, or if you fancy something expensive, a SvoëMesto Kayfun V3.1 if you can find any, upwards of a 100 notes though, but by all accounts one of the most well made Silica wick and tank combo's to date. Any of the Aga series for a dip into genesis style. a VH Veti, basically a line copy (supposed to be half decent)

Crowort, are you making the wick just so it slides in and out of the wick hole freely but with no excessive gaps? and does your setup run with the fill screw in, just laid mine down while admiring the poldiac and well you can guess what happened lol top cap flooded....At present ive been doing the 2mm drill method if you know of it, and im not having much luck, so need to start hand wrapping the coils i think. You say you cut an angle at the top? shouldnt that be the bottom to help wicking?
