Thanks for the info man. So I either need the tornado from edigwizard or the tanks from Vapour hut?

My only real concern at the moment is that I currently smoke Silver Silkcut which is 1mg, and I've brought 12mg juice. I don't really want to increase my addiction. Maybe I should go for a 6mg instead.

Will see how it goes. Would definitely be interested in rewicking, but don't know where to start!! Anything to save the pennies as to say :)

As far as I believe, absorption rates via vaping are much lower than through a cigarette. A lot of the extra crap in there is designed to provide quick delivery to your bloodstream.

Best way to tell is start off with the 12mg and see how you feel. If you find yourself getting woozy on a few puffs then you can always drop the strength, or increase it if you find it's not cutting through the cravings. :)

There is on average 18mg of nicotine in a cig with only about 1mg on average getting into your body. The number on the packs isn't how much nicotine is in them but how much you will get from using them. There is also some theories about the nicotine being freebase (strong) from the burning.

Most people on here seem to vape about 2mls a day. So of 12mg/ml that would be 24mg which works out at '24 1mg fags'. Not that much different.

Also, the 1mg on your cigarette pack is how much you absorb, so that figure is adjusted, whereas the eliquid measurement is how much is in the liquid per ml. I vape about 2-3ml a day, so even at tops that's a fraction of the 36mg in the liquid that I absorb, whereas I definitely absorbed 15mg of nicotine from the 15 fags I smoked a day.

As above, if 12mg is too strong, go for a lower strength. You can even have it without nicotine if you find you don't need it.

E: beaten like the proverbial stepchild

Worth saying nicotine isn't that dangerous either. It is about the same as caffeine. It is the rest of the smoke that has all the nasty stuff.

One of the things I've found that has helped me pack in the cigs and stay with vaping is to keep a tally of how much cash I've not spent on cigs. I then spend that same cash on vaping kit or fluids. It's fun and keeps me motivated. Although I've kind of run out of things to buy so am quids in now.

That's what I plan on doing!! Always good to have fun cash stacking up!!! Hopefully I can feed back to you guys around Thursday this week.

Also I should pre warn you all, if this goes well, Im bound to have loads more questions..... As I'm one of those people who will wanna make my own juice etc... Custom build the vape etc...

Thanks in advance all :D

Good stuff, most of us are exactly the same. I stocked up on liquid supplies (cost me about £50 for a pint) and that should keep me going for about 2/3 of a year. I've just started rewicking my atty heads, so now it literally costs me nothing to vape on a daily basis. Of course I'm going to be tempted by shiny new gear, but hey, I'm human :p

I bought 5 Vivi Nova's and 3 Replaceable heads, first impressions was great! Great taste, allows me to see my liquid etc then suddenly after a day started tasting a burnt taste, 2nd Nova was fine for a few puffs and then again burnt taste. Even with constantly swirling the liquid on the wicks after a drag or two its either in my mouth or burning.

Using a thin liquid also and just can't seem to get them wicking good which is disappointing as Im really a fan of having a tank so easy to fill up and gage when you need to refill.

So unfortunately on some cheap duel coil cartoz at the moment but delivering a better taste, better throat hit and also drag after drag just taste great and work! No burn't taste what so ever, con's are that they are a pain in the ass to fill and regularly need refilling.

Could anyone recommend me a Carto/Tank for an eGo fitting which wicks really well as I don't fancy re wicking the Nova's myself at this point.

Edit: How are these does anyone know? http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=157

Edit Number 2!!: Just seen the price :o

Those are quite good. You only need to replace the cartomiser that goes in them, so it's a cross between the performance of a DC carto and the convenience of a tank. I used those DC cartos for ages (are you using the mega ones? I only topped mine up once or twice a day) but having got my nova going smoothly I do prefer the flavour (still working on getting the throat hit though)

Working my way through a tank of TW Gold standard columbia coffee (which I don't like very much at all), and I decided I'd mix up some TW Gold standard chocolate a friend gave me so I could try something new when I'd finished this awful columbia (or even binning it). Then I thought, what if I put a bit of chocolate into the columbia? TW GS chocolate has a real milk chocolate flavour going for it (light and sweet) and it sets off the roughness of the columbia quite well. I think I may have to get experimental more often!

I face a conundrum though. The safety cap on my elderflower concentrate arrived buggered (it just spins), so how do I get it off without showering myself in extremely pungent concentrate?

I hate that. I've ended up having to cut the top off and put it into a new bottle in the past.

Aha! I squeezed really hard and managed to get it off without cutting it. It is SERIOUSLY pungent. I think this is one to mix under 10%. These juices can taste quite perfume-y if you mix them too strong.

I think I may need to invest in some sticky labels for all my mixes. My sense of smell is rubbish and I can never tell what I'm putting in my atties anymore :p

Got a VV eGo and a CE5 clearomizer that I'm currently vaping wizmix RY4 with. I'm pretty impressed so far though I have a couple of other flavours that I would like to try, does anyone have recommendations for a drip tip or tank system so I can try different flavours without emptying the clearomizer?

Is it normal to hear such a sizzling sound and the occasional pop when using a Duel Coil Carto?

Shame I bulk bought 5 Vivi Nova's and 3 Replacement heads and wasted a load of juice, Just cannot seem to get them wicking for more than 1/2 puffs! Then I get a ton of it in my mouth, Wish they would wick as im also using a thin liquid so it is truely baffling.

11 Days now since I touched a ciggy, Deffo won't be going back to them.. Cheers Dev for making this thread and drawing me in.

Its a shame its took a family members illness to get me to tackle quiting smoking, I mean thats not the only reason I have been trying on and off for a good year but that is the main vocal point of packing them in.

It's normal and good for it to sizzle and pop a bit. It will stop as the coil gunks up a bit though.

I'll swap you some juice for a nova if you don't want it anymore btw. I'd hang onto them though. I had a rubbish experience with mine at first and it lived in my vaping draw for months before coming back to it. You may end up rewicking it or something later on.

Yes it is normal for duel coil cartos to make a lot of noise like that.

For flavour testing dripping is likely the best way 510 attie are what I used to use. Seems a lot of money for a dripper to me. I ain't sure if they have always cost that much. Back when I started that was about all there was (not truly but things were harder to come by back then in the UK)

You just drip 2-3 drops on that and vape until you hear a after hiss. The hiss means the juice is low and will be a dry burn in a drag or two. They work taste good and give good vapour and throat hit but dripping is a pain.

Got myself a Vision Eternity the other day, and for the money, it's crap.

Flooded on first fill with 15 drops of liquid. (supposedly holds 35)
Gurgles like no tomorrow.
drinks more juice than a 3 year old.
Flavour and throat hit is mediocre at best.

Stay away.

got an aga t2 whilst I wait for that damn rsst lol and put myself down for a telescopic mech mod.

Also got some Niobium Alloy Resistance Wire and 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Mesh, so this will be my first rebuildable.

edit - where can I get some good drip tips?
