I use to smoke 10-15 Marlboro lights a day, and switched to a E-Lite last thursday. I've not touched a real cig since.

However I have been using 1 E-Lite tip a day (approx 40Cig apparently! lol)

Just made a purchase from ecigwizard, Vision eGo (Starter bundle) and 10ml 15mg RY4 bottle.

Good idea. If anyone has any good sites they use for DIY or for general shopping just post them up on here (I'll copy and paste a bunch for UKV when I'm not on my phone) and I'll add them to the OP. We'll try to keep them to reliable stores we've all used at some point if possible.

I am using wicks made from cotton wool in my igo at the moment. I started because I got some El Toro juice and it was gunking up the coil really quickly. With the cotton I could just pull the wick out, dry burn the coil and then feed in a new wick without having to wind a new coil. As I was needing to change the wick 2 or 3 times a day with that juice it saved a lot of time.

I have finished that juice now but have carried on with the cotton wicks. You have to be careful not to dry burn them but I haven't found that to be a real problem. As soon as I notice a dry taste I top up and they are so easy to change anyway. I made my last coil around a cocktail stick which was easier to wrap than around silica wick.

I am just using cotton wool from a cotton ball I found in the bathroom but a thread on ukvapers recommended using the make up removal pads but I couldn't find any of those

Cheers, looks like ctton wool balls or pads will be my starting point for trying alternatives to Silica and SS on the igo-l. Which came today, only I've to wait for the Vamo to arrive to try it out, as I sold all my other battery mods.

Ok possibly been asked and more than likely answered, but i had ordered all the stuff for DIY mixing liquid, and well none of it has turned up as the website didnt see my order but took payment, god knows how, long story short refunded and now on the hunt for a decent site that isnt likely to have a screw up - would need everything, nic -pg -vg - concentrates although ive got my eye on capellas custard. etc at a reasonable price.

To be fair it isn't like someone could buy 75% on that site (some places in China will sell 100% nicotine) You can't even buy the 100mg/ml base as they know the UK don't allow that for normal consumers and they will email you saying you can't get it.

Easy. For say 20mls you need 3.2 of the 75mg base and 16.8 mls of others stuff. Say 13.8ml of PG or VG and 3ml flavour for 15%. That is for 12mg per ml final product.

I normally use 52/4mg stuff myself as it is the more common UK level. I'm starting to think about going 75mg to save a bit more money. I've got a litre of everything else (well not flavours) so bulk buying and mixing is where I'm headed I think.

I stopped at the beginning of Jan. I was using 10-12 bits of 4mg gum a day plus vaping 18/24 juice Without consciously trying I found I was gradually using less gum until I was just vaping. I have now cut to 12mg juice and am not chain vaping as much as I used to.

You know yourself now but the cig per tip claims are vastly wrong for almost all smokers. It is just a way to get people to think the high cost is worth it.

Realised you can request different ratio's PG/VG 50/50 any good?

Would it be worth request 70 PG / 30 VG for an added through it, or would the difference be minimal baring in mind Ill have a VV device by then?

Edit: Saying that I only vape 8MG Nic, So 12MG should be fine throat hit wise. But if it's so delicious I don't know if I want to be chain vaping on 12MG

Do you know what mah your existing battery is? If it's the little stubby ego battery it'll be 650mah, and if it's the slightly longer one it'll be 900mah. You could always pick up a couple more of the same batts you have now and just swap them out when they run dry (I carry a little case with spare batts and liquid at all times), but you could use this as an opportunity to try out a cheap variable voltage battery too.

Do you vape at a desk/pc/laptop? A usb passthrough battery would mean you could vape and charge at the same time if so.

Alternatively, you could pick up a big battery mod, but they are a bit chunkier.

The itaste gets good feedback and has variable voltage and usb passthrough capabilities, but if you up the voltage (which you will when you see what it can do!) then you may find that battery life is still an issue. The ego twist is a similar product along the same aesthetic design as your existing ego battery, but with the added function of variable voltage at a low price.

I've been in hospital 10 days so just been really hammering it, refilling it twice a day, not sure if that's really over doing it or not, 18mg strength

Now I'm home and not as board I've calmed down a bit.

So anyway im not on a pc or laptop I'm just using my phone.

What advantages will i get from one with a voltage adjustment? Just a bigger hit but using more power or if I lower it a smaller hit but saving power

Do they all use the same charger?


Just rang the shop and its a 650mah so that's probably why I'm charging is to much. Ideally I don't want to make the thing bigger is it possible to get a better battery without going bigger. If it's just slightly bigger that's fine

You have to appreciate GVC started of as Grant just mixing his own juice, giving it a mate and then the popularity started from there and now he has international orders too.

So if you're expecting Amazon next day service for the £2.90 postage then don't get your hopes up. His stuff will normally arrive within a week.

1. Nic content
2. PG Ratio
3. Type of juice delivery system used
4. Coil Resistance
5. Power set on PV

1. Higher nic content will give more throat hit
2. Higher PG Ratio delivers more flavour and throat hit. Whereas a Higher VG Ratio will mute the flavour more but produce tonnes of vapour. (Hopefully someone here can confirm that)
3. Genesis Style atomizers will give more throat hit compared to a cartomizer as the burning takes place higher in the tank chamber
4/5. Go hand in hand (self explanitory)


- You say that you vape 8mg nicotine, but then how many ml do you vape per day? (Nicotine in ejuice is per ml. So a 10ml 8mg nicotine bottle will contain 80mg of nicotine in total)...
- On Average 1 cigarette will DELIVER 1.4mg nicotine. "Lights" will DELIVER 0.8mg nicotine, so if you smoked on average 20 fags a day that's 28mg and 16mg nicotine in your bloodstream with a tiny percent being exhaled as passive smoke.
- Does 8mg provide a decent throat hit and kill the cigarette craving?
- What is your every day juice?
- I doubt you will chain vape, if you are then the nicotine content is far too low. Even with cigs you can only smoke so much until you start to feel sick and have had enough.
The same applies with ecigs. You're vaping to kill nicotine cravings the flavour just helps with the delivery. Anyone who has used inhalers, gum, sprays will know how rank nicotine is on it's own.

Yeah it did very helpful, Was just gonna go for 50/50 12MG 30Ml and bam the website is back down he must make a killing needs to get some extra man power and make tons of money!

I don't chain vape, at work today had about 4 8/10 long drags breaks then tonight ill keep picking it up every half hour depending on what I'm doing, must use abit under 2ML on Menthol liquid per day as menthol provides me a decent hit.

Could be tomorrow but hopefully will get home to a VV battery.

Edit: Texted home and packages have arrived! Also sent Grant an email regarding some Vanilla Custard don't ask don't get! I did try to order earlier but the site was being problomatic since im at work maybe due to security in place.

Went to visit again and the sites back down! hence the email sent! fingers crossed

Yeah the 900mah batteries are well worth it imo, and they're about an inch longer, but otherwise the same size. All of the ego batteries use the same screw-in charger.

Raising the voltage on a variable voltage battery gives you more vapour and throat hit (mmm satisfying ), but raising it too far can heat the coil too much and give you a burnt flavour or just less flavour. You find a sweet spot for different resistances/types of atomisers or liquids.

From what I know about Grant he isn't in it for money. He's just a regular vaper like you and me and his mix just gained popularity.

Like most "etailers" in the vaping community it's just a personal venture so they don't employ staff.

GVC is just run by Grant and his wife Lara who just looks after the emails. Similarly CV9 (Cloud vapour 9) is the same.

He gets around 150 bottle orders a day, add that to the backlog then things get crazy. He defo needs to sort his production line out though and make it more efficient. It's the steeping which delays things.


Anyway... Is anyone going to Vapefest or even VapeX? I am
