Sod it - I've just cleaned out the Clearomizer which had a bit of the original Cherry Cigar flavour in it, I took apart the entire Clearomizer and rinsed everything (fluid chamber, the coils, chamber body & the mouth piece) under a small slow of water just to rinse out the old flavour and carefully dry everything.

Put the whole lot back together and filled it with some Butterscotch juice and decided to give it a go. It took a few vapes to actually get it going and produce but it's working now :)

Absolutely can't get enough of it! Though I've noticed that when vaping since clearing this Clearomizer, it pops and crackles every couple of seconds - is this normal?

It's all I use, So many Vivi Nova's burnt for me.. And only vaping menthol not so many delicate flavours so it sure does the trick.

I was using Dual Coil on a Ego VV, but ive found Single Coil feel more adequately powered and also require lower volts to get the same throat hit strangely enough.!

I've got a few single coil cartos to keep me quite for a while but I may pick up a couple of the dual coils just to try them out. Do you punch your cartos with one or two holes or does it depend on the VG content?

Don't get enough vapor or throat hit? then get one of these:D

LMAOF:D

Try taking your clearo off the battery, put a tissue at the base and blow through the drip tip, not too hard though. Dry the base with clean tissue as a little juice will leak through then reassemble it. Another good habit to get into is cleaning threads, drip trips and battery terminals everytime you need to remove/reassemble them.

I noticed a few minutes ago actually when checking out the top of the battery that there was a little drop of water on there so I will keep drying it when needed, thanks for that :)

No worries :) I've gone through more tissues when vaping than the average teenager! The crackling is likely to be juice in the airway so blowing through the clearo usually clears that.

Make sure and break down your RSST and clean it well. There has been a number of reports of swarf being left behind and causing shorts.

Thanks I'll do that. I've got a working coil now, although one coil is not as hot as the others. Either way, the thicker kanthal is definitely more robust to pulse with. Makes it much more forgiving.

Can i ask a silly question regarding RSST's?
Why do they use mesh and not say a few strands of 3mm wick?

Some atties can be used with silica, but I believe it has to be a U wick. Having it just flop out of the wick hole must not work as well. I considered trying it myself, but I'm soldiering on with the mesh for now.

Just attempted to prise the top off one of the dry cartomisers I have for the Socialites e-cig I'm using until my SS Vamo arrives from China. It doesn't appear to be refillable by design, but carefully popping it off, adding a few drops of the Vapeland apple juice (16mg) until the cotton soaks it up, and replacing the top securely seems to have been successful.
I don't think I'll be able to get away with any more than a couple of refills on each of the disposable carts, due to the brittle plastic cap, but just refilling each one twice, saves me £20 and should hopefully see me through until my Vamo arrives.

If anyone can recommend a UK supplier of refillable cartomisers of the same type as above (not fussed on colour) and so long as the removable cap is more pliable, allowing more refills, for the basic e-cig battery, I'd be grateful.

I can't find any info on the cartos it uses from a quick search. They don't look like 510 or 901 threaded to me but closer to 510s. I couldn't give you advice on what to buy as I can't be sure what will fit. You could try the 'condom method' (has nothing to do with condoms) which is basically putting some liquid into a rubber end cap (if you have one) or a small bowl and sitting it in connector end first and let it soak up.

I've just ordered a vivi nova from vaper break, ill be able to compare the build quality with one I bought from a UK supplier. It will be interesting to see which is better or if both are the same. It cost just more than half the of the UK price to get it from China.

What do you lot think of this for VG?
Its an Amazon seller of cake and food stuffs. Id have to buy some distilled water to thin it down, but it would be so much cheaper than buy VG from e-cig sellers. There is also a seller of distilled water.

My friend is going to test out some wire rope that Youtube reviewers are raving about.

It seems the Mesh Company are selling them now: Link

The next big thing for genesis atomisers? Time will tell....

My VAMO says my 18350's are low when they hit about 3.2v then i have to charge them, is that right? Is that still not quite high?

For Father's Day my mother wants me to get an eCig starter kit for my cigar smoking (cafe creme) father. Any suggestion on kit for a ~60 year old partly technophobe? And for a juice similar to these cigars?

Was thinking of an ego starter pack (probably one with a clearomizer) and perhaps halo longhorn juice? But suggestions very welcome. Cheers

That is correct. If they drop too low, you can damage the batteries.

I read somewhere that when the Vamo stops powering due to low battery, you should take the battery out, put it back in again and fire it up until it's not working anymore. Then charge it after doing that. Is that a bad idea?

This is wrong. You don't want to discharge these types of batteries.
