Good job j.col :)
I got my dripper today and I see what you mean about fiddly. I wasn't expecting everything to be so small and close together. Going to have a go at building a wick this weekend.

lol everything is so small, i cheated and used a machine screw like the vid i posted a couple of pages ago, so i done the coil off the wick, but it worked.
I did have a hot spot but 2 mins and a needle sorted that out.
stick with it, the taste etc... is better imo.

I just had a go with 2mm silica. Coils seemed even and a dry burn didn't show any hotspots but when I put it back together and dripped juice onto it, I got loads of hot spitting juice and not very much vapour. I think I'll leave it for tonight :D

I think I've settled with cartos and tanks now for daily vaping. May not produce the same flavour as drippers and wicks but it's quite hassle free once you know what you're doing.

did u test what ohms the coil had? sounds like u are nearly there, so stick with it.
also agree over the clearo's/tanks, i still use mine during the day, as i have to leave it laying about a lot at work, and they are faff free.

Using 4 wraps, I ended up with 1.3Ω and that was with the coil not wrapped tight enough so will probably try 6 wraps tomorrow. Only problem is there's not much room for the coil even when I heat it first to reduce the springiness. The coil that came with it had 7 wraps though so if they can manage it, so will I :D

I have the same issue with my RSST. I'm still wrestling with this ss wick stuff, but can't seem to get it right no matter what I try.

You tried pulsing? Wrap the coil around something that fits in the hole (drillbit method), take the drillbit out and fire it on a low volt a few times. Flame the mesh just enough to clean any machine oil or anything off it. Then roll a wick that fits in the coil and is just a little loose. Pulse the button and now and then turn the wick about a little. Keep doing that until the whole coil heats up evenly.

This is the method I've been using and so far it is the best one yet for me.

Sorry to mention the less complicated stuff :p

But bought some Grape Juice 60/40 12MG, Stuck it in a Evod.. and the difference over a Kanger T3 is unreal. No gurgling so far (touch wood) such a better less airy draw still airy but a good airy with a clean crisp flavour fantastic vapour and a stainless with clear mouthpiece looks top notch on a stainless VV Ego.

Less liquid capacity but what the hell, compared to the T3 it only went to waste after gurgling!

Really impressed will be vaping it all day in the sun at a BBQ!

Have a good day vaperrrrs!

I'll give that a go. So far I've been flaming the mesh, wrapping the coil and pulsing/poking. I can never seem to get the final coil on the bottom to glow.

Been fiddling about with the aga-t for a few hours now. Kept getting hot spots on the coiled wick, so tried the drillbit method and got a perfect glow all over which measured out at 1.9ohms. Slid the wick in, and it goes back down to to a resistance that the vamo won't fire (below 1.2ohms iirc). After some digging around the problem was the little tiny strands of mesh on the edge of the wick weren't oxidized enough causing a direct short bewteen the wick and the bridge. A bit more oxidising and i'm now getting a perfect vape. Might be tempted to try a u wick next time with dual coils.

That's the great thing about RBA's. They're the pc gaming of the vaping world. You build your own, learn a shedload whilst doing so and tailor it exactly how you want and upgrade certain parts in an attempt to improve on an already perfect vape.

Picked up a protank for my new out and about gear. Gennies just ain't travel friendly, great for at your desk or in the house but leaking juice is just a pain. Seems to be working pretty nice bit airy so I might have a go of blocking an airhole.

I gave this a go, and tentatively feel it may have fixed the problems I was having!

absinthe is vile so whoever decided to make e juice based on that is crazy lol

I've tried DV Absinthe which was nice, but I suppose if you don't like aniseed you won't like it

Whilst I'm here I'm thinking about an AGA-t2 and a Sigelei telescope 19

currently using either a 18650 lavatube v2 lambo with a vivi stv tank or the sd mkii with an stv tank
I like the look of the telescope 19 and its fairly cheap too. any other recomendations same ish price range thanks
